It is your business to know that another scholarship might be available. However, the details are irrelevant. This is a tough situation for any player and their family. You will know soon enough through an official statement from the athletic department. That is how our program and the player want this information to be known. We may never know the details, and we shouldn't. If someone does discover what occurred, please leave it off the board.
I think some people assume that this board should serve as an Enquirer Magazine. If you want that information, please go somewhere else.
Talk about potential recruits, talk about games, organize the student section, etc... BUT never open conversation about the personal lives of UW-Milwaukee student athletes.

I don't think releasing a name out of speculation is opening conversation into personal lives. If we are unable to talk about a scholarship player being realsed, then how come we were able to get so personal with Coach Jeter potentially changing jobs? This was something that never even materialized, yet people continually brought up his "personal" decisions.
I personally feel that when you accept a scholarship, or a contract with a team that operates in the public perspective, that material is wide open for speculation and discussion in a public internet forum. When (said player) violates a team rule, or does something to warrant losing a scholarship, he or she has opened themselves up to public speculation and criticism.
What if Coach Jeter wanted his decisions, and thought processes kept to himself? Did we respect that on here? NO. This player has no gripe, we are the ones paying his tuition, I guess I will never understand this....

I think its one thing to make the players name known and another to make the details of the situation known. I understand peoples frustration when someone says I know something, but I wont give the specifics. But at the same time it is the persons right to share whatever amount of information they have on any given topic. So it that means not sharing the name at this time I think we need to respect the that too.
Sure, I would like to know who the player is now, but I can wait until the press release for the name and can be happy just knowing about the additional scholarship available. I think everyone else should be too IMO.
There seems to be a bit too much tension on this board lately on what is said, not said or how something is said. I think people need to have a bit more respect for all sides. Whether that means being open to peoples thoughts when they are being more critical than you think they should be (this is a public board) or when people feel the need to withhold some info if they feel it is right to do so at that given time.
