BREAKING NEWS!!!!!
Because of the ratings success of "ESPN All Access with Bruce Pearl", ABC Television and ESPN Entertainment have announced a new show to premiere in two weeks.
"My Name Is Pearl"
A famous and well known new high major basketball coach discovers his past misdeeds and disrespect of Mid Majors has cause serious karmic retribution. His mission: to right the wrongs he has committed in order to balance the scales before his high major program fires him.
Opening Scene:
"Do you remember that guy who see going into the arena when you stop off at that little town on the way to grandmas house, sort of shifty looking fella who who talks about putting down roots while shaking your hand and telling you this is the only place he wants to be, the kind of guy you would get a bit of a funny feeling in your stomach about, not sure if he is always telling the truth. Well that guy is me, my name is Pearl."
BP:Man, those damn mid majors keep screwing me. Wichita State? Is that even a 4 year school? I mean come on!
Tony Jones: I know Pearl. Is Wichita even a state?
BP: Shut up, Tony.
TJ: Sorry Pearl.
BP: Tony, have you heard of Karma?
TJ: Is that a color? Can I get a new suit in Karma, Pearl?
BP: No, karma is payback for all the bad things you've done, Tony.
TJ: Oh man, Pearl, you're in really big trouble.
BP: I know, I know. I gotta make a list and fix some of those things before it's too late.
TJ: Does that mean we're going back to Milwaukee, Pearl? I like Milwaukee, Pearl. They have nice suits, there.
BP: Yeah, Tony, we need to go to Milwaukee, and then stop in Champaign on the way back.
ESPN has announced a simulcast with ABC television. A spokesperson for ABC has stated that the show will air nightly at 10:00 PM EST 9:00 PM CST. "Due to the tremendous amount of material in Coach Pearl's recent and not so recent past, there is just too much material to air only one night a week, so we are breaking new ground with a 5 night a week schedule." the spokesperson stated.
ESPN has also promised a nightly airing after Sportscenter. The release from ESPN stated "Due to Coach Pearl's fears of not being noticed for an entire off season, he has asked that the show start immediately. The first taping will start Sunday March 19th."
