Have to say I really do not like this matchup. I like the seed alot but Oklahomas size concerns me very much. We need to get off to a hot start, get some turnovers to get them into taking outside shots.
If we get by them I like our chances against Florida or S. Alabama.

Look at their roster. sports-att.espn.go.com/ncb/clubhouse?event=tourney&teamId=201You can't seriously tell me you're concerned with their size? 5 starters, 6-9, 6-3, 6-4, 6-8, and 6-6. Key reserves are 6-5, 6-3, 6-7. Our 5 starters are 6-5, 6-7, 6-3, 5-10, and 6-9. Key reserves are 6-3, 6-0, 6-10, 6-5, and 6-3. I'm not too concerned with the size aspect. Run and wear them out. T

its not just height...bookout is 270 gray is 240...i predict 28 total rebounds between the two...who's gonna box them out...boo? hopefully we won't need many offensive boards

Going into the last bracket on tv there was Florida, BC, Ohio St., Nevada, and Oklahoma. I think we got the best matchup out of all of those teams. Tigert will neutralize Bookout and they have NOBODY that can check Joah. They lost their starting PG from last year to transfer, and they lost another of the main guards to Minnesota through transfer. This team is nowhere near as good as BC or Alabama were last year. For god sake they lost to Nebraska.
I'm more concerned about if we get past OK, we play Florida in Jacksonville.

Our quickness should allow us to go around them in the paint. Who needs rebounds when you're getting fouled running past them?
Like I said, run and wear them out.
This just further plays into Jeter's system IMO.

Not to be Mr. Pessimistic but don't forget who we've lost to this year as well...and don't look past this team...we are still the underdog remember

You can't really consider a 6/11 matchup as serious underdogs. I bet the line for the game will be 3 or less meaning this is an even matchup.
We've played our 2 best games heading into the tourney, while Oklahoma got knocked out early. Plus look at what they have done their last 7 games or so...a lot of 1 pt victories at home.
Feb 15 @colorado Lost 75-84 16-6 Feb 18 Iowa St. Won 83-82 17-6 Feb 20 @texas Tech Won 71-70 18-6 Feb 25 Kansas St. Won 71-70 19-6 Feb 27 Oklahoma St. Won 67-66 20-6 Mar 5 @texas Lost 48-72 20-7 Mar 10 Nebraska Lost 63-69

If you look at OU's losses...they've either out-rebounded, or had similar rebounding numbers to their opponents. A guard on the opposing team has always had a good game.
Gray and Neal have been succeptible to foul problems.
I'd much rather play a team with big size than athletic size. We don't typically play too well against those types of teams.
So, I think keys to the game will be:
1) press, run and try to wear them out 2) Get Gray in foul trouble 3) Boo gets his points 4) Limit Gray and/or Neal offensively
I think if we can do this, we have a good shot. Let's not forget that we'll always be an underdog. That being said, I think this is as good of a matchup as we can expect. Michigan St, Indiana, and West Virginia are our other possible matchups. I definitely don't want to see Michigan St. Indiana's been hot beating Michigan St, @ Michigan, @ Wisconsin, and losing by one to Ohio St in their last six. West Virginia is the only other team I think would be a decent matchup for us. I'd prefer OU over WV based on the fact that the Big 12 isn't that strong this year.

Lets not forget about Big Shot AL and the fact that DFORD has been playing amazing lately.
