I know we are a couple of days off from knowing where and when but this is the thread I hope everyone will let each other know how they are getting there so people can arrange rides, flights, etc...as of right now I can only go if it is a friday-sunday regional and I will want to go no matter where its at

I have already been looking at airfare and prices have been fluctuating the past week. Most of the sights range from $200 - $300 per person for roundtrip. A lot of it depends on how flexible you are as to when you will leave and return. You can often save over $100 by returning a day later (Monday instead of Sunday). Some of the more expensive sites include Salt Lake City ($400 out of Chicago and $550 from Milwaukee) and Jacksonville ($350). A lot of the others are in the low 200 range like Philadelphia and Dallas (goes down $200 if you stay a little longer). I just used rough prices from travelocity as a guide, and so far travelocity seems to be pretty compeitive.
Dayton and Detroit are both about the same distance and it would be great if we got Women's in Chicago and men in either Dayton or Detroit. The Chicago site is Thursday/Saturday and both Detroit and Dayton are Friday/Sunday. Plus, you have to go through Chicago to get to both Detroit and Dayton!

My roommate, me and a buddy and planning on going if it is feasible to drive there. We will be taking my roommates SUV and will probably have room for 1 or 2 more people. Therefore if anyone is interested let me know. I know we will definitely go if it is Detroit or Dayton. Most likely will go to Philly. I hope we would go to Jacksonville (I can use the nice weather). Past that I don't know. Send me a personal message if you are interested. Be aware, I am a 23 yr old alumni, my buddy is a 22yr old student and my roomie is a 23 yr, so we are looking most likely for people who fit into our catagory (aka over 21).

My buddy and I plan on driving if they play in Detroit or Dayton. They are both close enough that you can drive in early the day of the game and the fact its Friday/Sunday at both of those sights is huge too since we'd only need to take 1 day off from work. With the exception of maybe Philly, if they are playing at any other site I will be tuning in from home. I was just in London a few weeks ago so don't have the time or funds for any of the longer trips right now. I did some recon work and notice that Auburn Hills is like 30 minutes outside of downtown Detroit. Thats sucks because it was nice how in Cleveland last year everything was so centrally located. Once you were there you were within walking distance of the hotel, arena, bars, etc. Oh well. I still think we would stay in Detroit though, doesn't seem like theres a ton going on near Auburn Hills other than the basketball. Also for all you underage kids out there...Windsor, Ontario is a fun bar town thats right across the river from Detroit and the drinking age is 19 there. Even for creepy older guys like me its still fun (think hot U of Michigan chicks ) Anybody have insight on what the lodging/bars would be like in Dayton?

If I were a betting man I would imagine we would be playing in either Dayton or Detroit as a 12 seed..if memory serves me correctly Lecrone is on the selection committe... with that in mind I do believe that Ill be riding with 3 other ppl...also for hotel arrangements...wait till the athletic dept gets something set up..they block rooms for people to use at a very cheap rate..last year they were $100 and the Hyatt in Cleveland was renting the rooms for $200...this way you are also near the other panther fans...

hey guys. I goto UC so Im in the same boat as you guys hoping the Bearcats are either in Dayton or Detriot. If they end up in Dayton I will be set cause I wouldnt need a hotel since Cincy is so close. Now Dayton is usually pretty boring but it should be absolutely hopping with all the people coming in for the tourny. If UWM ends up in dayton, which I hope it does, lodging should be easy for you all. There a crap ton of holiday inn type places littered between Cincy and Dayton so you guys shouldnt have to be paying a lot if you play your cards right. It only takes me 5 and 1/2 hours to get from Cincy to Milwaukee so I assume dayton shouldnt be more than 6 or so hours from the brew city if you know what you are doing.
I would suggest that anyone who has to drive thru chicago because of where the panther end up drive through the city to get to Indiana...not around the city via ohare. You cant drive as fast going through downtown but it will be less congested, espically on a friday, and there are no tolls actually in the city. I know it sounds funny but its always been true for when I come home to milwaukee.
if the panthers end up in dayton and you guys have any ?s about that area just let me know.

I will be either looking for a ride or can drive if the game is in Dayton or Auburn Hills. If the game is somewhere like Jacksonville or San Diego I will be going too. Drop me a line if you are interested in setting something up. Best way is by email at peterman@uwm.edu.
