Was it my imagination, or did anybody else think both games last night were very physical? Looked to me like the refs were letting a lot more contact go than they did during the regular season games. I thought that was true all over the court - on ball carriers, shots, post play and rebounds. I think tourney-time is on and the Panthers are going to have to be ready to do the dirty work in a hard-nosed contest tonight. Hopefully they can keep their cool, get to the free throw line and hit some shots.

i agree both games were very physical. was not expecting that from UIC & UWGB, considering there was a moment when i thought that i was watching some b rated backyard wrestling match.
that game was insane, i believe that kingsbury put up the thread about Lawerence not playing tonite, which is a huge blow to GB IMO, but from all that how Zoric did not get tossed or even that there weren't many if any techs called is pretty ridiculous...those refs needed to get a hold of that game right when lawerence and zoric first started going at it and they didn't. they are lucky that nothing worse happened even though it looked liek it was going to later when zoric got in somebody's face again.....this guy was pissed about something last night that is for sure, one of the refs pulled him aside and told him that if he wanted to stay in tha game he needed to get his act together, and then jimmy promptly pulled him after he picked up his fourth foul......
but that game was pretty intense, and then the football pads should have been broken out for the detorit-loyola game, good lord. that was an extremely pyhsical game the whole way through, there wree calls that could have been made but the refs let the rough stuff go all game long...
good games yesterday though.............
