It sounds like alot of people on this board have given up, lets not write this season off quite yet. This team needs us now more than ever before. Everyone NEEDS to show up on tuesday. I am skipping class to go to this game and have no problem doing so. I am here to watch basketball not get an education. But seriously everyone should come out on tuesday.

I don't think there is any reason to give up. If AT is healthy for the league tournament (and if there are no other injuries) Milwaukee has to be considered the tournament favourite, Cell or Hinkle.
Go Panthers!

i certainly hope no one is giving up cause there's a lot of basketball to be played yet. it's demoralizing, frustrating, and astounding to see how this group of seniors has fallen apart with the loss of one starter, but let's face it, we had just figured things out after Butler only to see it go up in smoke. my gut says they rebound and act like seniors that have been there before. i hope they prove me right.
again, this team deserves a huge crowd tuesday night for so many reasons.

If your giving up on this season.....
YOU CAN NEVER CALL YOURSELF A TRUE PANTHER FAN
Nothing angers me more than people giving up because we lost two close game that could have gone either way. Let me remind you all, that if it wasnt for Ed last season we would have lost a few more games. He was that clutch guy, hit the 30ft 3pt when the game was close. This season we dont have that guy. We have someone that steps up, but not the one clear goto guy. With a healthy team and consitant refs, we will blow throught the HL tourny...and will be dancin in march.

We aren't going to blow through anything, if some one doesn't step up and hit a big shot! That is one of the biggest differences from last year, if not the biggest difference. Everyone knew that Ed or Dylan or Clay was going to take the big shots when needed and whether they went down or not, they were going to be ready to take another big shot the next day. All of the seniors have faded to back at one time or another this season, which has been very disappointing. There is a big difference between throwing up wild and crazy shots at the end of the game and taking the big shot. I was hoping for a big shot on Sat. that never came.

very true kaygee. we simply don't have a big shot guy. boo sometimes, hill sometimes, tucker somtimes, etc. there's no clear cut guy this year and that's shown up in the close games. take a look at all those tight matchups and you see some fundamental break down in each and every one of those games. that's what's so disappointing to me. to see a group of seniors that have gone big places fall apart on the basics is more than aggravating and surprising. it's been ovious in all those games that they didn't know who was going to step up. at least joah was vocal about it after saturday's disaster. maybe that's the start, but it's time to back it up with play.

Ed McCants hit big shots last year but so did Adrian, Boo, Joah and Chris.
We just had an off-shooting night Saturday. Boo had a good look late, it just didn't fall.
I think these seniors have way too much pride to go out with a whimper against Detroit in probably their last game ever at the Cell. I like what I'm hearing from Joah.

With the experience this team has in big games and the amount of close games they have been in this season, there is no excuse for the problems that keep cropping up at the end of games (missed free throws, turnovers, bad passes, turnovers, etc.). This team has won 8 games by 10 or less points and 7 of the 8 losses have been by 10 or less. In my opinion we could easily be sitting with a 25-1, 24-2 or 23-3 record right now. Here's hoping that things start running on all cylinders in the next 3 games...and no one uses a zone defense against us!

How can you give up when we have a great chance at beating Detroit and it is going to be tough for Butler to win at Detroit. Detroit has ONE conference home loss this year (to us) and that was nearly a win for them. On the other hand, they only have ONE conference road win this year (to the #1 team in the conference...Youngstown State ). Anything can happen, but that is some promising data folks!

Why do you get the feeling that people are giving up? As someone already said, anyone that has given up is not a true fan. We'll see what kind of grit this team and these fans have, going through this rough stretch.

I have the same question as TBone...why do you think people are giving up? If there are people giving up, I'd just like to say...keep it positive! Negativity will get us nowhere.
One game at a time...
Tuesday night, is a must win to give UWM the best shot at hosting the conference tourney. Now if they don't get it done, there is still a few games of ball left before their fate is sealed.
That's why they play the games...
