before Florida's win yesterday. UWM now sits in a tie for the sixth longest in the nation...
Rank - Streak - Team - Next Game
t1. 33 Southern Illinois (Indiana State, 2/1) t1. 33 Gonzaga (Santa Clara, 2/4) t1. 33 Illinois (Penn St, 2/4) 4. 21 New Mexico (BYU, 2/1) 5. 19 Florida (Kentucky, 2/4) t6. 18 Wis.-Milwaukee (Youngstown State, 2/9) t6. 18 Davidson (Princeton, 1/29)
Barring any upsets at home along the way, having the HL tourney in Mke will help put us ahead of both Florida and Davidson by seasons end regardless of if those teams keep winning.

Actually we are tied for 4th since BYU beat New Mexico tonight at 'The Pit'. Also, Florida's win against Vandy on 1/28 was already counted....
So now this is what it looks like:
t1. 33 Gonzaga (Santa Clara, 2/4) t1. 33 Illinois (Penn St, 2/4) 3. 19 Davidson (West Carolina, 2/4) t4. 18 Wis.-Milwaukee (Youngstown State, 2/9) t4. 18 Florida (Kentucky, 2/4)

Gonzaga can thank its clock operator for keeping its streak alive tonight.

I watched that game. What a joke. The guys sitting at that table had such smug looks. Home-court advantage at its best.

The game was tied, so it wasn't like they would have lost right there had the clock operators not messed up. Zags have been pretty good in OT this year.

I admittedly didn't see the game, but according to ESPN, the buzzer sounded and the refs added time for the free throws. If that's the case, I don't know how the scoreboard operators could've home cooked anything.
"With the score tied, Mallon took an inbounds pass under the basket and was fouled by Daniel Kickert as he went up to shoot. The buzzer sounded, but the officials put .3 seconds back on the clock."

The point is that something should have happened that did not. I didn't see the game, but I heard about it AND the clock foul-up. If it is indeed true, the NCAA needs to look into it. The game was on T.V., it's likely that they have something bad on tape.
