I talked to the ticket office today and they said that there won't be any bus going to Butler on February 4th. The game is at 2:00pm Butler time, which is 1:00pm Milwaukee time so if you want to make it a one day trip you would have to leave around 8:00am. Is anyone on here seriously considering going on the trip? It always seems to be a great game when we go to Butler. Post on here if you are going or thinking about going. I am considering and may have 2 spots if people want to put in gas $$.

Jvaldon, N8, and myself are going. We talked about a hotel room, but seeing as the game is at 1pm, I'm not sure how that would work out. I'll keep everyone updated. If you've never been to Hinkle, go. It is an amazing atmosphere. Not to mention this might be one of our best years to go down there and get a win.

The football house shall be making the trip. I seem to make it to more road games than home games this season!

If you guys decide to stay in a hotel, I would look into the airport area of Indy. It's a lil bit of a drive from the campus but much much cheaper. Right off of 465.

I would like to make it to this game, but all depends on a trip I may have to take to Madison for a friend's birthday. If anyone is willing to make the drive, a small group of us are planning to make the trip out to Cleveland the following weekend for the game. Meeting up with a few friends out there.

I want to go to the game, but I can't drive down alone. If anyone has car space and would be willing to take me, I'd be in your debt.

The area around 86th street and Michigan has some good deals on hotels as well. It is a closer than the airport and there are good places to eat around there as well.

I know three years ago when we went down there for the infamous Avery Sheets buzzer beater...we stayed just south of the RCA dome downtown at a very nice hotel...might have been the Comfort suites...got a suit for 6 ppl for under a 100 and downtown indy is nice..hardrock, hooters, and alot of other nice bars..I wanna go so bad
also the Hyatt downtown Indy, which Is very very nice has rooms for $129 not bad if u split it with 4 people...plus that is in the center of everything that goes on down there

For those making the trip, beware of parking issues around Hinkle. The Hinkle lot is about half its normal size due to constuction of new student apartments and a new fitness center around Hinkle. I would suggest parking in the Clowes Hall lot just south of Hinkle on Sunset Avenue or on Lake Drive. www.butler.edu/admissions/campusmap/Butler_map_200308.pdfAlso, it is Alumni Day at Butler (winter homecoming), and Butler will be wearing throwback jerseys. Butler was trying to get you guys to wear throwbacks as well, even willing to pay for the uniforms, but UWM was balking. They really didn't want to harken back to the not so good days of yore. Not sure if they ever reached an agreement.

If you've ever seen one of the older 70's jerseys, it would be obvious why UWM passed on wearing them.

I think this is reason enough why they didn't wear them.

I think this is reason enough why they didn't wear them. I'd wear those jerseys. They're badass. I think it would be cool if the school could get some designer students to make up some new "throwback" uniforms that the team can wear. It wouldn't be a true throwback, of course, but it would still be a cool option to go with our already sweet normal jerseys.
