From the Loyola board..."If there is one thing to say about this game though, it is tough for a team to beat a good team three times in a single season. Loyola is a good team, and I have a feeling if we see UWM in the postseason the results might be different. Provided we don't have to play against the refs too."
Aren't they 4-6 and we are 9-1??? We are the best team in conference BY FAR!

If you would have been listening to Daron closely, you would have noticed he was referring to the RPI. He said right now they are 22, and with another road win, there is no way they should be lower than 20

man blake schilb has to be one of the biggest whinners i've seen in awhile. not to mention his short fuse. he is definetly a liability for loyola down the stretch. if we do play them in the tourney we need to ride his ass the second he steps on the floor for warm ups.

Excellent. That's how its done. Get there an hour before, set the homecourt right away. This would also be ideal for Bracket Buster. It helps get the atmosphere in our favor before tip.

I, for one, am hoping for Loyola in the conference tournament, just to see Schilb implode once again. And hear more about the conspiracy talk from Ramblerland.

I think that guy looks more like Carlito from the WWF.
In the 2 games against Loyola, Young and Robinson both impressed me. Schilb needs them to play at his level.

I think that guy looks more like Carlito from the WWF. That's who I was thinking of during the game... couldn't remember when I was going to post a few minutes ago. Could only imagine what Young said to Schilb after his technical: "That's not cool."

Speaking of Schilb .. check out this quote from the Chicago Tribune on the T: "I thought I was helping the officials. I handed them the ball." Yeah ... riiiiighhht. Sure you were.

Good win by you guys. You ruled us on the boards. We didn't have JR to match up on Hill, and he wen't 6-8 from the field. Guarding all your healthy guys took a lot out of Majak Kou, who'd scored 20+ in each of the last three games. He only had 4 tonight on 1-7 shooting.
On the upside for us, we only made 8 turnovers for the game. Leon Young was tough, but we didn't have any rebounding support for him.
I thought there were two demoralizing plays for us-- when we left Tigert alone to make a three-pointer in the first half (!) and the three-pointer in the corner with the clock running down and 2:30 left.
It was a good game to watch. You got a lot of the lucky bounces that we got when we played there. But good teams get a lot of "lucky bounces."
As for Schilb, he played a tremendous game. The T on him late was mostly because frustration when our coaches called the timeout. He was T'd up in the last game against Detroit because he said, "That should have been a jump ball." He's not really a hot-head.
Hope to see you guys once more... especially with JR.

I find it funny that the Ramblers are complaining about the refs. We were sitting four rows up and couldn't believe how horrible the officials were. Here's my list of the top five bad calls/non calls (we had to debate this there were so many to choose from.
1) Two Ramblers run into Tucker and knock him to floor in the last minute of the game. No Call.
1 (tie) A Rambler pushes Hill, Hill bobbles the ball, the Rambler slaps it out of bounds Ball given to Loyola.
3) Rambler has AT in a headlock, ref looks straight at it, no call. Loyola grabs the ball, We get called for a foul when Young brushes up against someone.
4) Hill is stationed in the paint long enough to order a pizza and eat half of it. Rambler drives right over him. Hill called for the foul.
5) Young walks with the ball, gets a foul call and then gets two free throws even though it was only our 7th foul of the half. ( This one was actually funny. When Jeter complained to one of the other refs he shrugged his shoulders and said he didn't know why Young was being given two FT's)
Runners up
AT getting his leg grabbed and falling on the floor No Call Rambler slaps away a rebound out of bounds (ball given to the Ramblers) Tucker gets pushed from behind and loses the ball, turns to try to recover it and gets called for a foul.
Those refs were simply bad and most of us felt they were doing all they could to keep Loyola in the game.

after seeing tonight's game in person, i'm not as worried about student section (although i do know there's still work to be done). LU's problems are much worse.
