My props to pantherholic for being the first and last thing on poor man's mind last night. Not only did poor man's coach k ask for the sign to be removed right as he got on the court for the shoot around he thanked Bud for confiscating the "racist" sign as he walked out of the Cell and headed for the team bus.
Getting into the game with student id: free Markers and paper for a Tillema sign: $4.00 A few drinks after the game at MTP with fellow board members: $15.00 Establishing that home court advantage by getting into poor man's head: PRICELESS

I was unable to make the game last night. Did we apply full-court pressure?

I hear you on the unis. I was surprised there was about 20 GB fans there and they didn't bring their cheerleaders...blame it on finals I guess.

There were more than 20. They just didn't have anything to cheer about.

We let UWGB shoot 49% from the field. We're still allowing 46% shooting from the field on the season. Granted, the D has started producing a lot more turnovers, but we can't expect to give up this kind of shooting percentage to teams in the Horizon at the cell. On the road, this would be even worse to allow. Granted, I was only able to watch the Wisconsin game since I'm in Denver, but are teams just shooting lights out against us, are we not getting a hand in their face, what's up?
Joah has yet to really step up and be a bigger factor than last year. I like what we're seeing out of Boo and AT, but really expected Joah to have a better scoring average at this point of the season. Joah won't be conference POY if this keeps up. We'll need Joah or AT or someone to step up in games when Boo isn't hitting, and there will be games where he isn't hitting.
I still think we should be able to win the conference, (although Loyola is looking pretty good so far this year) but I would expect some better D from a shooting percentage perspective.

I agree it is somewhat of a concern but that's what happens when we press and go for steals. A lot of the time (but not always) GB was finding someone who was wide open.
If you look at their 20 TO's and the 9 steals we got they were only 24 out of 78 times they got the ball. If they can't shoot, they can't score.

we dont need to worry about joah.....this is the same thing that happened to ED last year......we all talked him up and he sh*t a brick....i was looking at the past articles on the athletics website and there was a preview before the kansas game on Dec. 20th that mentioned Ed shooting just horrid and everyone was so worried about that. Theres no doubt in my mind that joah will step it up and start playing the ball were used to.....i think were just starting to see what this team can do and if thats the case and joah hasnt been playing well think about how it will be when he is knocking down his shots and getting more touches with the rest of the guys that are playing well right now....boo is turning into one of the conferences sharp shooters....you can just tell he has that shooters swagger, not comparing him to jj reddick but he always has that swagger and latley it just looks like boo always wants to shot no matter how far back....

Dan Manoyan, a blast from the past, wrote that the Panthers' victory was "surprisingly easy." To whom, Dan? Perhaps to someone who hadn't seen either team play all year. After all, the point spread on the game was 15-16 points. In addition, I disagree with the post that UWGB didn't show any heart. The Phoenix gave it all they had. This is what has got to be especially disconcerting to them. When one team scores first, never trails or is tied and maintains a lead of 10-24 points through the second half, that's not a remotely competitive game. Its appears from pregame and postgame remarks that their starting point guard is their voice of reason.

I think Bobbi was sick the other day.
I'd never seen Manoyan before, so I had a nice little idea in my mind that I'd write the JS an article. Too bad I figured out who Manoyan was.
I totally agree with the idea that GB P-G's writer made Kowalnjenvfjn look better than he should've after the game. He said some stupid things.
This is what he said.
"and Ryan Evonochko and Ryan Tillema are both sick. They have been sick all week. ----long pause---- I'm not going to use that as an excuse though."
The pause was pretty funny. He was looking for excuses, the bastard.

Given your work for the UWM Post, thank God Manoyan was able to fill in.
