www.jsonline.com/badger/bkb/dec05/377906.aspI like this nugget: "For Jeter, the game will serve as the Panthers' toughest test of the season thus far and add a chapter to a story that began because he was in the right place at the right time." Um, sorry Mark but no ... look no further than UWM's first game to have the correct answer for that.

Yeah the Memphis game was tougher.
Excellent article, though.

I just sent Mark and email telling him that I liked the story.......but......... "A quick check of the schedule indicates that UWM played a pretty decent opponent their first game.........Memphis....... who currently has an RPI (12/14/05) of #2 (UW is #18); a Sagarin (12/13/05) of #3 (UW is #22); and ranked as #5 (12/12/05) in the USA Today Top 25 (UW is #24). While the UW game is no doubt a big game (for both schools, but especially UWM), and without question a tough test, it is definitely not UWM's toughest game thus far. "

Eh, you guys should be used to this. The JS is just sucking up to all the badger fans in the area.

Exactly what I thought, Hack. I have to say that the mistake was so glaring that my mind kept drifting back to how nonsensical the statement was as I read the rest of the article. Madison may have some terrific players and great height, but it has never had the assemblage of stud athletes (and tall ones, at that) that Memphis has. The Tigers are in a totally different league.

I wrote Mark to point that out and he responded back and agreed. We got to keep setting these guys straight and make them do their home work.
