So far I think Jeter has done an excellent job... my worry is we won't be able to hold on to him. Just wait till Tom Crean's job is on the line... Marquette might go for the guy who first recruited Wade

It's one thing for Cords to pluck a soccer coach from "lowly" UWM ... can't see him doing the same thing for his only cash cow (well, besides the schmucks in the yellow sweater crowd dishing out their PSL money to watch Lewis and Coppin State).

What the hell does it mean to be the "better" coach? I mean, this isn't chess...where both sides start with the exact same strengths and weaknesses. Show me a great coach, and I'll show you a guy with better players.
FACT: This team is better right now than it was last year on December 14th. That means, IMO, that Jeter has done a great job.

The team is better than last year at this time due to natural progression of talent.
With that you are right about better coaches having better talent.
Note: Already said Jeter is doing a good job. I just hope he sticks around for a while because I think between what Bo and Pearl started Jeter can make into something special.

Show me a great coach, and I'll show you a guy with better players. DING, DING, DING........we have a winner! Glad someone else feels this way! For example, is Coach K a good coach? Sure, but he get All-Americans every year......... he should win with those guys. Is Roy Williams a good coach? Sure, he won the tourament........wait, he had an NBA roster to "coach".

RJ is still new as a head coach he's going to make mistakes just like all coaches do.
But that Hawaii game showed us something. He totally outcoached a much more experienced coach who brought a much taller team to play us.
It was an excellent game and he did an excellent job. Just like the team, he's only going to get better.
