keep doing that keep the youngsters in line fun, is fun but to a point let's be a classy winner. As my father always said confidence not c***iness. I don't even know how to spell that.

you spelled c***iness and confidence just fine...
As for the feature, I don't think I got enough material to write about true life in the student section.
I thought it was a mark to how respected you guys are up front that the ushers told you what they were going to do. You run a professional section, but we still need to stretch that to my fellow freshman on the opposite side. We need generals.

-Tyrone Young wore a dress. An absolute dress. and he cannot play defense at all. That is why he is stuck on the pine... BINGO! Young looked lost on defense immediately upon entering the game. He was matched up against a guy slower and smaller than him and couldn't keep up with him. He is a liability at this point.

A couple other notes:
1. I was pleasantly surprised at the attendance. Going head to head against the Packers is a losing proposition for any event in this state, so I was somewhat expecting to see 1,500 or less. 2,700 was a good number, all things considered.
2. The team looked like a TEAM for the first time this year. I think we'll see this only improve as guys get a better for feel for playing in this system, with each other.
3. A great job of penetrating the lane. It seemed like we were inside on every possession, either taking it strong, or driving and dishing to open perimeter shooters.
4. Avery's shot looked considerably more comfortable than it did last week.
5. Free throw shooting was poor. I hope that's only an aberration. If not, i guarantee that it will cost us a game later this year.
6. Return of the beer man to Sec. 106. Life is good!!

I couldn't be in attendance last night, but did catch most the game on the radio, and Just have a couple of questions....
I still have questions about Ford and McCoy. I noticed they didn't exactally have "good" games against a team with what seemed like no inside presence. I am just scared about how this my play out now that the schedule gets much tougher.
Second, when did Mark Pancratz become "the innovator of the floor burn" wow. Not too sure about that one.
Allan Hanson....... Is he being replaced by Avery do you guys think? I don't know if I can reall him hitting more than a few shots in his career, his 0 for was not exactally helping his case.
Lastly, I noticed Chris Hill had 1 asst. was this accurately scored? I know he does the little things, and since I wasn't in physical attendance, it's jus been kind of tough to get a feel for the actual game.
GO PANTHERS

Mccoy had a pretty good game, just no points wise. He had 7 dimes which I pointed out in an earlier post. He gets his points on open dunks and offensive tips. Ford has yet to have a good game and I would not expect to see one from his either. I think Avery has replaced Hanson otherwise I am sure he would have been redshirted. Hill has never been a big assits man. I think last year he averaged just a touch over 3 a gam. He runs the offense as does a good job of it. He does not need to get assits for this team to win.

I am just scared about how this my play out now that the schedule gets much tougher. I thought McCoy looked pretty good. He put the ball on the floor and attacked the basket more than i have ever seen. Ford had at least one block that I recall, but other than that, he was pretty non-descript, IMO Not sure what you are asking here. Mark has always been eager and willing to dive for any loose ball. Remember last year at Loyola? I think this is a done deal. Avery looked better in every facet of the game. Most of our assists were from guys penetrating and dishing, and that has never been a huge part of Chris's game. To be honest, I thought we had more than 16 assists as a team, but I wasn't scoring, except for the chicken dunks, of course.

I thought we played a great game last night other than the freethrows and second chance oppurtunities... it seemed everyone is relaxing with this offense and letting it do the work instead of trying to force things. I am however disapointed in the way some of the students acted with the obscenity chants... standing in the front row with Fan and uwm6thman we didnt like hearing those chants and had to turn around and tell people to knock it off... just not a good situation... but the game itself was good and it was nice to see the panthers score above 90 points... see you all against st louis....

I thought the firecrotch comments made us all look stupid... although I laughed due to shock.
Then again, I yelled out that I went to "Downer Wisconsin University" once yesterday. You can't always have your "A" game.

no, about 3/4 the way up there was a tool that kept shouting "f*** iowa"...it was really god damn annoying and i haven't been in a less professional student section since middle school.
i am saying nothing against those up front who were very good throughout the whole game. I even noticed that when they were throwing one of the idiots up top out, they consulted the guys up front.
The only problem the guys up front is that they can't multiply. We need more of you all. It's like i said earlier, we need generals throughout the student section that can lead everyone...if we can get 20 guys, maybe even 15, we can become as good as the Cameron Crazies. I know it is a problem, because not being at the Klotsche anymore, we lost our echo chamber, but in the Cell, we just need to get louder. I suspect that when we come back from christmas break, we will have a very full student section, because the pressure of exams isn't on underclassmen. Not to say that upperclassmen don't feel the pressure of exams, just that upperclassmen are experienced at working around it.
I'm going to put up a thread about the student section, because our current part of the message board that is dedicated to it doesn't get attention.

I admire your enthusiasm and school spirit Jimmy but, with all due respect, this comment is right up there with those who believe UWM belongs in the Big 10. I have enjoyed watching the student section grow over the last five years. Keep it up.

having a student section at the size filling the standing only seats is not too much to ask. UWM doesn't have a football team, so I don't know how they'd fit in the Big 10...conference USA maybe, but not the big 10.
