What a great motto for this season.
I want to thank the entire program from the top down for a great season. It was an exciting ride, and a milestone season.
In the end, they were only defeated by a better team, like 34 others before them. But they went out with their boots on, and gave as much as they got. Just an awesome display of character and heart.
That being said, I, as a fan and alum, am STILL NOT SATISFIED!
This was a milestone season, but not the end of the journey.
I want a Final Four.
I want a National Championship.
I want to be in the Top 25 every year.
I want 10,800 Season ticket holders.
I want Bruce Pearl to get win #800 as a Panther.
I want the world to know who UWM is.
I want the Journal to HAVE to cover the program ALL YEAR!
I want blue chippers to want to play here.
This team showed us that these are all attainable goals, and every one of us MUST have these goals.
A Sweet 16, while remarkable, should NOT be enough for us. The prize is much bigger.
The minute you are satisfied, is the moment you stop improving.
There is NO finish line. The race never ends.
STILL NOT SATISFIED!!!!!
And I NEVER WILL BE!!!
GO PANTHERS!!!!!!
P.S. Memo to Bud:
PAY THE MAN! Raise ticket prices. Twist arms of big money alums. I'll even sell a kidney if it will help, but PAY THE MAN. For the love of God, please PAY THE MAN.
