People need to know that Pearl turned down Middle Tennessee State job while at USI. He did not change for the sake of change. Many other D1 jobs looked at him but he was not responsive. He did love USI and they paid him very well.


Oh the dreams we have for Pearl to be at IU.

UT is attractive, does he chance it and not go for a new job and wait till his son is out of HS.

Pearl was in Evansville at USI when Jim Crews was hot and was offered the Ohio State job, Crews turned it down thinking he could do better well 3 years later he was pushed out of UE. Got to get it while your hot.

IF IU job was open it would be a no brainer. I would say 50/50 chance he leaves.

Thank God they didn't.

Actually Davis should go while the getting is good, but, since it doesn't look like he is, I hope they have a great year and he is rewarded with a long term contract.

Good Luck by the way, if anyone can pull of this upset it is Bruce Pearl and your boys.

It would be divine justice for him to win this due to all the HELL that he has been through regarding Illinois. He was the fall guy and now he deserves justice.
