Why doesn't everybody start talking about the awesome amtch-up that is going to take place this Thursday? UWM vs. Illinois? Remember that? Most Illinois fans will do whatever they can to badmouth Bruce, and most UWM fans will defend their beloved coach until they are blue in the face. No matter how much information you bring up, the other side will not listen to you or give up. I really enjoy reading posts on this board because my school (UWGB) doesn't have anything like this. I only hope that we can get our program completely turned around and get the kind of support that UWM consistently gets from their students/alumni. But like I was saying before, start talking about the game more and quit talking about the Pearl/Collins incident that happened about 15 years ago. I can't wait to see Ed McCants match up with possibly Deron Williams or Luther Head. And Joah Tucker always brings his A-game. Tigert and Wright in the middle battling with Augustine and Powell Jr. That's what you should be talking about. Both schools are having their best seasons ever, and it seems only fitting that they face each other in the tourney. I think this game will be a very fast-paced, fun-to-watch game. I know I can't wait for it to happen, but I also can't wait for both schools to take a break complaining about the past and start talking about what is going to happen in a few days.
Good luck to both teams, it should be one of the best games of the tourney!

Thanks for getting us back on track! As long as we make some shots early, it should be a great show!

We need to play like we have been playing. AT has been on fire, near perfect, and I think IL may overlook him with all the attention being directed toward star players Ed and Joah. I think our press and quick plays will throw Illinois into a mini-panic every little while. We should be able to gain a lot of points off turnovers. Our fast pace and our tight defense on the outside seems to create turnovers left and right in this tournament. I just hope we don't get into foul trouble. My question is how deep is the IL bench?

I do love the potential for this game, both teams love to get up and down the floor and pull the trigger. Illinois can play some serious d but there love for the trap leaves them vulnerable for open looks. We need to keep shooting lights out, and going for every ball like it's the last ball on earth. I think UWM's press will suprise Illinois it doesn't look as tenacious as it really is, that's because everyone knows there role and plays it wonderfully. Oh let us just fast foward to Thursday already.
