Does anyone know where the seats are located?
For comparative purposes, the United Center seating capacity for Bulls games is 21,711, while the Allstate arena advertises a reserved seating capacity of 18,500 plus forty-eight skyboxes.
At the end of the day, I don't think there is that much of a difference in size.....I think the reason it is at Allstate is because DePaul is the "host" school and that is their home arena - similar to why it was at the Covocation Center in Cleveland in stead of Gund.
I, for one, am glad it is at Allstate instead of the United Center. The UC is a pain to get to, ingress and egress to that place is a joke, parking is terrible, it takes longer to get there, and it is in a "questionable" area. The Allstate arena isn't that bad of a venue, has undergone some recent updates, is easy to get to, much more accessible parking, freeway access, etc..........but that is just my opinion.

Really excited to have gotten tickets!!! Sure glad I decided to go to Cleveland. It really is too bad that more students are going to be able to go to the game tomorrow. I definitely agree that they way tickets are allotted should be reconsidered. We were allotted 1,250 tickets, but have 8,000 people on the waiting list. We definitely could have sold more tickets!

It's an unfortunate reality, but there are simply way more people asking for tickets than actual tickets available.
I do wish more students could go, but it seems to me that the university did a pretty good job of getting tickets to the "hard core" students and the senior season ticket holders.
I wish the NCAA would allocate a greater number to the schools. Instead of 1250, why not 2500?

that really doesnt have anything to do with it. U of I got the same # of tickets as we did. if UWM fans want to guy they can buy scalped tickets just like Illini fans. sorry just my opinion but thats the way I see it

True, but in this case, the advantage is that IL alums are able to obtain tickets earlier and easier (cheaper) than UWM (or AZ, or OK St.)
If they allocated 2,000 tickets per school, that would still allow 10,000 for the "general public". And my guess is that the other schools would not use their complete allocation, putting more tickets back into UWM's pool.

one the pairings were announced. illwhini fans started grabbing all the non school allocated tickets. assuming the illini would be where they are now. our fans didnt have the luxury of assuming we would be in the sweet 16. and everyone who bought tickets before the pairings were announced are probably from the chicagor area and have ties to the illini.

I see your point guys, but the bottom line is that Illinois earned the "home court" for the regional, and their fans took advantage. Complaining about it is like WSU, UD, Loyola complaining about how the HL tournament is unfair for the "host" school.............when in fact, the "host" school worked their tails off the entire year, won a lot of games, and earned the right to be the "host".
Again, it is a tough break that we didn't get more tickets, or were not able to get the general tickets, but sometimes that is how it works - especially for the little guy (which we still are in the big picture of things).

i have no problem with it being in chicago. they did earn the right to get a favorable geographical seeding, just like we did for the HL tournament.
the fans we do have there have to be extra loud. see you all in chicago

hey i'm in orange krush at illinois and i didnt even get tickets (4 year member wtf?) anyway, students at our school were given 114 tickets and 49 were given to krush the rest went to rich alumni, sucks big time
one thing i noticed was that people who got tickets got 4 of them at uwm? thats awesome, we definitly were lucky to get one from the school
also, since depaul is the host school they got a ton of tickets too, thats where a lot of the tickets went to (i heard they got 8-10 thousand) so that sucks for all of the schools that actually earned the right to tickets (like us and you guys)
i'll be outside allstate tomorrow looking for tickets so maybe i'll see some of you there
