This place defnitley picks up all the pieces.. which these UWM fans seem to cherish..
I'd say its something that Pearl has done, to boost his status, because he knows he can't build a program with his own recruits over time.. These guys have been welcomed with open arms for his own gain, so he can get back into a major conference. Well, his wish will soon be true.. I wouldnt be supprised if he's long gone after this season..
Any coach with self respect wouldnt let a player like this play for his program.. Its the work of a dirty, cheating slimeball like Pearl to let this happen. But for UWM fans, I guess winning is more important than integrity.
A fellow conference member, UIC has something almost worse.. Collins, their coach, allowed a player with a Rape conviction to play for them.. I dont know whats up with these coaches.. Its a funny coincidence though that both of these guys were involved in the Illinois recruiting scandal.. hmm... no integrity, no class.

both of these guys were involved in the Illinois recruiting scandal.. no integrity, no class. i dont understand all the bash on messageboards. theres just no point to it. do you think a UWM fan is gonna read this and say "wow, ive been wrong now im gonna root for someone else" Personally, i have to admit the bottom line is that you are probably gonna win but why cant you appalaud our team and say "yeah you had a great season" if you ask me this is what says alot about integrity and class |

So Atherton, what you're saying is that, by giving a player a second chance, a coach has no integrity or class. Guess that means that Eddie Sutton, one of the most respected coaches in all of basketball, has no integrity and no class either, right?
You're an idiot. Grow up and get over the past. The truth about Pearl and Illinois lies somewhere in between anyways and isn't as one sided as you make it out to be.
I'd wish you luck for Thursday, but you don't deserve it.

Esco & Barber,
It seems like you're spending way too much time in the dump.
What matters is that our players can ball. Illini is gonna have a heck of a contest on Thursday. Win or lose, Milwaukee is gonna rock your house! I love our team & no BS that you make up or dig up is gonna change my opinion or anyone else's.

how pathetic
Number one team in the country and they are still looking to 16 years ago. Typical Illinois attitude there program was doing something wrong and they want to attack the person that turned them in. If you want to attack somebody for bringing down your program, why dont you attack collins, or henson because something was going on, they did recieve punishment from the ncaa. So why dont you take your blame and put it where it belongs and enjoy the tournament for what it is. The best time of the year in college basketball.

It's a reflection of the fear they have at the possiblity of their entire season going down the drain to a #12 Mid-Major who will play to the death to earn this win. Ah, yet the excuses will still fly as to why the win wasn't good enough...

no school is perfect. god forbid a student get a second chance for getting in a fight/drinking, a coach get a "second chance" after doing the right thing. Head got a second chance after being a theif. come on now.
