I like this matchup, anybody else? Also, if we can win that one I think BC is very beatable, they are only 4-4 in their last eight.

Agreed, love the 12 seed.
Doesn't look great for the Big 10 right now, only 1 team through half the bracket--can't imagine both Iowa and Minnesota are getting in now. Albuquerque regional looks very tough.

I'd rather be the 13th seed and play a fading BC.

This is true, Alabama was breifly talked about as a "Sleeper" team in the Chicago bracket.

I knew UWM would get a #12 seed, called it a while ago!
#12 is excellent. UWM is in the right place to make an upset or two. The #12 seed is an interesting spot because they are known for their upsets and Cinderella stories. Good luck!

Congrats. I didn't think there was a chance you'd get a 12 seed. You did. The draw you have is awesome. If there was a chance for a Horizon to win some games lately, it's now. You're not anywhere near Alabama which is good.

i have to say that i like this match-up that we got today. very interesting that we got a 12 in my opinion i was figuring on a 13, but i will take a 12 without any complaints. Not sure if anybody was watching ESPNnews recently but they were going over the Chicago bracket (not sure who the 2 dudes were but i have seen them before on ESPN) and one asked the other where a possible upset could come from and right away the guy spouted off UWM. He said something like "Bruce Pearl's team shoots the 3 very well and can really spread you out, which could give Alabama some porblems" or at least something along those lines, not sure exactally but close to that. So looks like we might not be the only ones in the country that feel we are prime for an upset.
Even if Clark Kellogg says that 'Bama is a sleeper in the tounrey. "I Believe you may be incorrect sir!" ;D

I don't think Bama is a good match up for us. They are a big team that out rebounds everyone and doesn't turn the ball over as much as their opponents.
I hope I am wrong!

I like the matchup...They are a little bigger than us.....HOWEVER there two big producers are 6-3 and 6-6....Both will be guarded by Joah and Ed...I like the matchup....Bama is a team that likes to run the floor, shoot the three and try to outscore oyu..They have terrible perimeter defense and dont play D very well at all which bodes very well for UWM.....
Also there starting PG is a freshman..Big Dance lights are on, maybe he gets freaked and chokes in the clutch...
If UWM plays there game there is no team that will outrun UWM...We have fresh legs and will certainly be ready for the dance....I cant wait I am fired up for an upset...Bring on BC

Not one person on the Bama board is givin UWM a chance. There isn't one post about how our game might be a good one, but all about beating BC, and hopefully UI. Hopefully UWM can come out hot, and shut all those Crimson fans up

Bama is bigger and more athletic than we are and they can shoot the three as well if not better than us. But, they have to shortcomings that I'm sure Bruce will key on. First, they completely lack depth. This obviously plays into our hands with the press. Second, as some have already pointed out, their point is a freshman. Hopefully he gets big eyes and struggles.
Should be a fast paced, high scoring game.

I also have to add my two cents. I am very happy with a 12 seed. I was thinking a 13 was more likely for us, but im glad i was wrong. To be honest my first feeling about playing Alabama was kinda up in the air, but this is exactly how i felt about Notre Dame and look how close we came then.
If there is going to be a 12 seed upsetting a 5 seed this year, like there always is, it will be this game. The more i analyze these two teams Im liking our match up, no doubt a good game. And the fact that the Alabama board is giving us no chance is even better.
GO PANTHERS!!!
