With Sanders on the bench and Pancratz having a terrible game, it was nice to see McCoy step up. He played his best game of the season IMO. When UIC zoned us, he was the key. It was nice to see UWM actually throw the ball to the man moving across the free throw lane, instead of just swinging the ball around the 3 - point line. I hope McCoy can keep this up, because UWM is going to need him come tourney time.

agreed...........and he is very good on the press! Man, is he long. The baseline move he made in the first half was pretty legit (floater along the left baseline). Anything we get from McCoy should be considered gravy - but with that being said, if he can become a consistent "x" man, he will help us greatly. In other words, we cannot "count" on him game in and game out, but if he shows up, he can really help us out - and no doubt surprise the other team.

I think there is no doubt that Jason had his best game this year on Saturday.
4 steals in 14 minutes? That's CRAZY!! ;D

I made a post on McCoy on Sunday in a different thread and I totally agree that he is a huge x factor. He has accepted his role as a guy who creates havoc on the press and I like seeing him on top of a zone harassing outside shooters. Man he is quick. Hope he doesn't take another 3 all year.

If he can really step it up come March we are going to be real tough. It is another long big body in the middle which we will need against some of those teams that are as deep as us and like to run....
