Staying with the "getting back to basketball" theme, I'm gonna be honest here, tomorrow's game scares me a lot. It's entirely possible for there to be an emotional let down from Wednesday's win. And, GB has revenge in their favor. I have a bad feeling in my stomach about this one. No predictions from me. Same here, that's probably why I've stopped making predictions. Last year when I made them, UWM usually ended up losing. With that said, it is crucial for UWM to play with the lead and start out strong. Sure, we've been able to comeback against Wright State and Purdue ... but I hope we don't make that a habit. Slightly looking ahead ... Wright State frightens me.

so does anyone know how many buses we're taking up to GB? last year we had a very nice turnout... i'd expect the same or better this year. we need to have a strong turnout, this team deserves it!

A friend of mine just went to pick up tickets at Merrill. The bus is filled. Now, I don't know if that is 1 or 2 busses.
My guess is one.

Is anyone else a little surprised that this game isn't on TV? I would think that an interstate game (with two quality teams fighting for first in the HL) would be pretty well watched on a Saturday night (especially in GB)........ But then again, I am going so I don't care. I was just curious if anyone else was wondering why it isn't on tv........

I thought for sure UWM would be broadcasting a local feed with Daron and Rock on WMLW. Very surprised they aren't.
I'm fairly sure why FSN didn't pick this up is because the previous UWM-UWGB matchup was on TV ... and they like to spread things around.

Good point about FSN, Hack.........I didn't think about that. WMLW on the other hand Or even a local station in GB, don't they have some games on TV locally?

I'd rather listen to Darnell Archey for 40 minutes than watch anything produced by a Green Bay TV station. Those who are from there know what I mean. The bleeding in my ears from 18 years there just stopped a little while ago.

i'm kind of surprised we'd only have 1 bus heading up considering we had a couple for UIC. i suppose many people are driving themselves. i guess thinking back we only had one last year as well but still had a great turnout.

I have heard from a lot of people who are making the drive themselves. I expect a pretty decent turnout.
Besides, I yell as loud as 3 "normal" people.

thoughts on tomorrow's game? i think everyone likely sees this being much closer than last time. i think if milwaukee comes out strong they can control this one. i'm a little scared of the let down factor after the purdue game, but i kind of doubt that will happen at this stage of the season. it's going to be a decent environment but we'll have lots of support there.
UWM wins 82-67

That's a good point about driving. I have a group of 5 driving up tomorrow afternoon.
UWM - 77 UWGB - 73
I will have the ESPN College Basketball updated prediction tomorrow. I have been pretty close with the last two games.

Channel 4's sound bite on the 6:00 sports had Bruce calling for "witnesses" for tomorrow night's game...funny stuff.
I'll be a witness tomorrow night BP. Go Panthers.

I'm fired up for the game. Bring on the Packer, I mean, UWGB fans! It's time to take a big lead in the conference.
I'm bringing 4 with me. I agree, I think the vast majority are driving up.
FIRE UP MILWAUKEE! -UWMfreak

Ahhh!!! I wish I was there. It's so hard to listen and know that my screams are not being heard by the silly sucky GB pansies.

Ah well...it happens. ;D
We played poorly, too conservative. GB had their best game this year. Give them lots of credit for a better performance. They seemed to drive less to the basket and look for short range shots. It worked great. Next time, we'll take that away.
When you see schools so obsessed with beating us, it is great to take a step back, and realize we're finally the top program in the conference.
The rematch - in Green Bay or UW-Milwaukee will be outstanding.
Go Milwaukee!
Later, UWMfreak
