Getting ahead of ourselves a bit here....
But did anyone watch the Wisconsin -Purdue game on Wednesday? I'm wondering what some of your thoughts were in Purdue and our chances against them at the end of the month.
A few things I noticed:
1. They really pressue the ball well. Wisconsin did a great job in penetrating and kicking out to open 3 point shooters. Obviously, we will need to be successful with our 3 point shots. 2. Carl Landry is definitely a force. Purdue really suffered when he got in foul trouble. 3. This is a team that really does try to work it inside. We need a very good game out of Tucker, Ford, and Wright.

Simply put, Lou, we'll need to shoot a lot better than 2-of-15 from three-point range to beat Purdue. Typically, 65 points should be more than enough to beat them.

Beyond that, D-Ford, Wrght, Tigert need to be squeaky clean in the paint while on defence.
McCants, Joah, Boo, Pankratz, will need to use their speed to keep up around the perimiter.
This game must be contained by a clean defense. Seeing how our shooting game changes from player to player each game we can no longer relie on just out scoring our opponent.
In big games, we dont score about 65 much with the exception of our OT games. there for defensive turn overs will create our best offensive chances.
