ok, i don't want to gripe about the officiating but... is it just me or does that crew do a sub-par job just about every time we see them? how many times can you miss a traveling call? again, we didn't lose because of bad calls. we lost cause we played horrid defense for half the game, and couldn't run an offensive play to save our lives in the start of the second half. ugh! shouldn't have blown this one tonight.

yea, they do a horrible job, however they do a consitantly horrible job. they called a bad game both ways, the foul situation in the second half was lop sided in our favor just as it was the other way in the first half

they were equally sh*tty for both teams, as is customary for the Horizon League.

Granted the officials were absolutely terrible for both sides... we could not grab a rebound and did not attempt to grab a rebound until there was 5 minutes left in the game. Where is derrick ford while we are shooting from outside? He has no business not being down there crashing the glass. same with james wright.

they were equally sh*tty for both teams, as is customary for the Horizon League. Unfortunately, this is all too true. Ughh.

The best missed calls of the night were the two blatant over and back by Detroit.
I agree Hack, they were pretty bad for both team. What a joke.

The funny thing about that second over and back no-call ... the crowd went nuts when it wasn't called and the ref just starts nodding his head up and down like "yep, I missed that one."

I thought the best missed call of the night (and there were so many to choose from) was the "airballed" three-pointer by Ed that trickled about six feet from its release point (again, it wasn't the officiating that decided the game). Ed spent the bulk of the next timeout explaining to the ref that he hasn't shot one that badly since he stepped out of the cradle. I know we often complain about too many fouls being whistled, but this was one of those instances where they didn't call nearly enough.

I would agree that the officiating wasn't the best, but it at least consistent. IMO they really let the guys play last night. Yes, there were situations towards the end of the game where ticky-tack hand checks were called. And yes, it's tough to do that at the end of the game when you haven't done it for the first 35 minutes. But, they did make those calls both ways.
As for the over and back, the first one wasn't over and back. If I remember right, both feet or the ball TOUCHING one side of the court establishes possession. The UDM player was across mid court, but in the air, and the ball hadn't crossed mid court yet (meaning, hadn't touched the ground across mid court). Therefore, the pass back was legal.
