Let's go guys and gals the Panthers have a game tomorrow! Bring a friend to the Cell .
Let's take one conference game at a time. This undefeated talk in conference scares me. Right now, 2 - 0 sounds great. Smother Cotton and make someone else win the game.

amen to that....it's the kind of talk that ruins seasons. Can't look past any opponent (can you say UIC v. Parkside?)
Hope to see lots of folks tomorrow night....

Given the amount of discussion this week... I hate to say it, but I doubt the attendance will be very high. On to the game. I want to see this "Boo" Davis guy for myself. I mean, I have seen a number 24 Davis play this year many of times. But that guy seemed to take really bad shots and was missing everything. From listening to the Manhattan game, it seems like Boo may have gotten spooked (bad pun I know) out of his poor play. The lower shooting percentage still worries me a bit. 25% in the first half is not acceptable. C.Hill and the other 1 guards (Hansen and possibly Boo) and maybe even a little McCants seem like they will have to put a lock down on Cotton and Thues. I hope to see the referees not look at pure size down low as Covile is listed as only 6-9 240. The Panthers will need to play straight up and not fly at shot fakes if the refs start calling the ticky tack fouls.

Alright kiddies after optimism during the last 2 games, a wave of pessimism is hitting me hard. This Cotton kid better get shut down or we're gonna be 1-1. This team is better than UIC and there can't be any letdown by Ed from his last two performances. This game is going to show us which UWM we are: option 1-a team that has many good players but can't win it in the clutch because they're inconsistent or option 2-the first half of the season was a building block and these guys can play together.
If option 2 is the case expect a blowout cause they're all due to put up big numbers.

well, sounds like we'll have a sparse crowd tonight. that's too bad as this should be an entertaining game. i'm glad to see the university is doing what it can to get people to the Cell. hopefully UWM can build off that great win against Manhattan in this one. it would be nice to see ed, boo, and joah all come together in one night.

I'm goin option 2, with a big game from Ed and Tucker. If we shut down Cotton we shut down Detroit, (kind of like Marquette and Diener), but seriously lets not over look this one.

I looked at the odds, and we are favored by 10.5. This surprises me a little. UD is a good team. On a side note, UIC is only favored by 8.5 over YSU. I know that the home court has something to do with both of these numbers, but still - does this strike anyone else as odd?

I know what Meija says (and I think he is more on point), but I was referring to the guys in Vegas..........the ones who make (and lose) money on these games on a day in and day out basis.

The Vegas odds maker have no idea what type of team UIC is going to be. Thwey might as well throw a dart at a board and use that. UIC is a strange team, they could lose to YSU by 5 or they could beat them by 30, I wouldn't be shocked either way. As for UWM, It seems a bit high but then again this is a team that lost 62-47 @ Chicago State. With both these teams prone to scoreless spells, it is very possible that 1 team will have under 20 at halftime. My Prediction UWM 67 UDM 54 Lay the money on the Panthers to take care of those holiday credit card bills

I know that. I was just putting out the picks for all to see. I know that you know that. ;D That post was not really directed at you.......more of an informational type post. Not everyone looks at as much info. as you and I do. haha Like you, I was trying to make sure I didn't confuse anyone - I just didn't do a very good job of conveying myself I didn't mean to make it seem like I was bagging on you or anything.

Dear Bruce,
Please play Big D. Play him until he fouls out. Who is a better option?
Thanks,
Section 240...or something like that
