we need to get a win in manhattan to make this a successful road trip. True. We need tobuild upon this last game. Winning at Manhattan is key, IMO, to building positive momentum heding into HL play.

Welcome back to Ed indeed, but as I see it nobody else recognized it, meaning the media. ESPN dogged us, they ran a clip of the game and said nothing about the leading scorer in the game and how many three's he scorched the net for. All they did is run some crappy story about that stupid assist record that knowone cares about, then ended with Kansas held off UWM, and that is the only time they said anytinhg about UWM. I realize we are a mid-major, but come on Ed was shooting lights out, for most of the game. I was proud of the team for hanging in there with Kansas, would have liked to see a win but the game was closer than the score told. This win makes me feel a bit more comfortable going into the Manhatten game, by the way are we stuck with the radio for this one?

last night i was very optomistic, i always think that we can win! ;D as i sat ands watched Ed McCants light it up for 26 i could hardly stay sitting in my seat. i was sooo happy to see Ed carry our team as i thought he shold have been doing this entire season. better late than never i always say although we lost we did win the second half! we beat the spread by 2 points it was 13 we lost by 11. another thing is after watching our panthers scrap it out with one of the bets teams in college basketball and relentlessly attack, giving it there all and never giving up. i can say that i will take that loss. that loss did not hurt our team at all, i think the heart they showed last night was proof that our team can compete with the best of teh best in the league, and if we continue to compete the way that we did last night my prediction is that we will go undefeated the rest of the regular season go panthers! what a key moral victory!

I have several reactions to much that was posted here, but in order to be brief, I have to say that Spike and UICMayur are very classy posters and should always consider themselves welcome. Also, Big D should start in order to give us a jump-start from the opening tip. There's an almost fool-proof play that we run to Joah for a dunk off the center jump. Before Big D was benched, we won every tip and it worked nearly every single time. How many tips have we won since Derrick was removed from the starting lineup? I don't believe in conceding anything, especially when you're playing against the big boys of college basketball. Clearly, our best lineup at the moment is Big D, Joah, Adrian, Ed and C-Hill. Correct??

Ed's performance last night was truly one of his best. I know he just needs confidence, but before that happens, i think we need to see this kind of performance day in and day out. UWM needs him if they want to make it to the tourney and out of the first round. I hope he keeps it up, but before we start bowing down to him, I think it is necessary that he proves he can play a seaon without any further let downs. Good game last night, Hope Ed keeps it up in conference. No letdowns agains weaker teams!

If there is such a thing as a "moral victory" we got a 100% moral victory last night. Hopefully that spirit will carry east when the guys go to Manhattan. Ed couldn't have picked a better time to come out of his slump. If he sees that he can score 26 vs. Kansas than he knows he can light it up against any team in the nation. This was a good game for UWM as long as they can build on the momentum.
