Hello fellow Panthers fans,
Just wanted to say hi as a new poster. I graduated from UWM in May, 2003 with a degree in advertising/PR. Favorite professors: Greg Hoffmann and Dennis Getto.
Anyway, I'm happy to see the interest in UWM hoops has taken off. The last game I attended was the Butler game at the MECCA that won the Panthers the NCAA bid.
I'll have you know that I'm now a sports editor at a daily newspaper in Wisconsin and I have made it my passion to give the Panthers a front-page presence along with Marquette and UW (along with UWGB) when they play. I used to work at the JS, so I learned well from Windler, Howard as well as UWM alum Todd Rosiak.
Also, I may be in need of a stringer or two to cover events in the Milwaukee area if our local teams are playing there. Any journalism students interested? Let me know!
