Where did you get this schedule? I has heard this listing before, and I am really excited to play Purdue. BUT...OUR NON-CONF HOME GAMES ARE BORING! Air Force is our only highlight for home games in the non-conf season! Why is Valpo an away game again? That would have been a game I was looking forward to at home. Prairie View, Parkside and South Dakota State just dont cut it for good non-conf home games! We have to start getting some good teams at home before the regular season. How can we expect to build excitement around our program opening against Prairie View?
Atleast our non-conf games have a nice break between them this season. We actually have a week to prepare for Madison! Another nice aspect of our schedule is that we should have four easy victories to prepare for Air Force.
Our away games are all going to be very tough. Valpo, Montana, Manhattan, Purdue, and Wisconsin...all of those games will be a great challenge.
Bring on January so I can finally see some good home games.
Go Milwaukee!
Later, UWMfreak

I'm disappointed that the Manhattan trip doesn't consist of another game in the NYC area.
Ideally St. John's at MSG would've been great and St. John's isn't in a position to be turning away opponents.
Others could've been Seton Hall, Rutgers or Fairfield.
Oh well. I'll still be there!

I'm going to agree with uwm Freak, our non-conf. games kind of suck. I would have like to see N.C. State at home or even on the schedule. Oh well I guess we will just have to prove that we deserve better. Go Panthers.

Just pointing out that 5 of our Home games fall during Winter break, which lasts from Dec. 23-Jan 24. The schedule looks strange/disheartening how 4 of our home games are packed into the Jan. 15th-22 area, right before most of us get back. I do however like how the season ends with a big matchup against Butler. .

In yesterday's "The Game", Bret Seymour (Assistant SID) said that UWM is working on a game against Kansas, in Lawrence. It would replace the game against Montana.

Kansas would be awesome, but I would be shocked if Kansas would want to play any mid-major teams after getting beat by Richmond. Any way, I would make the trip to watch the game because IMO it is one of the best places to watch college basketball. It would also be pretty sweet if we can score a game against a big time team since other teams ie Butler and Detroit are having a tough time scheduling and keeping dates with the Majors.

Guys, great that Kansas is a go! I'm very pleased that we are playing them at Kemper rather than Phog Allen Fieldhouse, although Richmond did beat the Jayhawks there last year. Also, based on what I've heard, the date should give us some nice national exposure. Notice Kansas' non-conference schedule: 10 games -- seven against NCAA tournament teams and three against NIT teams. And Kansas plays in a better conference than MU. Never let anyone deceive you into believing that these so-called buy games have to be played against patsies like Canisius or Sacred Heart!

I'm gonna hold off on my joy over this game until I see it either on the KU or UWM athletics Web sites. KU's site hasn't released the schedule yet.

Pearl on 1510 today mentioned an eight-game road stretch in December and January (not sure if a home game is mixed in there, but from the sounds of it ... no):
at UIC (12/4 ... ESPN) at Valpo at Saint Louis (return game next year) at Wisconsin at Kansas (12/22) at Manhattan at Detroit (1/3) at Butler (1/6)
Man, that's a tough slate ... plus at Purdue later in the season.

....so you'd think that if Bruce is talking about it on the radio, they'd actually release the schedule or have it online? It must be coming soon......I'm gonna hold my breath until I see it
