On Wednesday, BP was on "The Game" and said that Ed is being worked over the summer as a "combo guard." BP expected Ed to play quite a bit of point next season.
Here's a little food for thought:
PLAYER (Min. 2.5 3Pt FGM/game) CL G 3FG 3FGA 3FG% Ben Gordon, Connecticut Jr. 39 104 240 43.3
Ed McCants, Wis.-Milwaukee Jr. 31 104 243 42.8
Not that Ed can be considered on the same level as Gordon, but if he can, in fact, begin to handle the ball more and begin to create shots off the dribble (which he didn't do at all last year), I think these two are very comparable - with Ed likely getting the nod as the better defensive player.

Ed has a LONG ways to go to being close to compared to Ben Gordon.
Ed is a very very good player but he isnt close to being the creater Gordon is (for himself and his teammates). Also, not sure we can even compare the two defensively.
McCants will be the best player in the HL next year. I dont doubt this.
