Going into the season, 3 of UWM's starters are set. McCants, Tigert and Tucker are locks but the other 2 spots are up in the air. The question I have is who will fill the other 2 spots. Hill has a pretty good lock on the starting PG, however, he did lose the job last year to Kadima, so who knows. UWM just needs a PG who can shoot. It would be intersesting to see McCants and Wimmer in the back court.
My biggest question, is what happens in the front court, does UWM A: slide Tigert to 4 and play Ford at 5 B: slide Tucker to the 4 and play Passley at the 3 or C: Tigert and Tucker stay at the same position and place Sanders, McCoy, Passley or Ford at the 4.
The bench is an interesting topic also because UWM will be able to go 10-11 deep next year. For the sake of arguing, lets say Ford and Hill start that means our bench will have: Wimmer, Passley, Hanson, Sanders, McCoy, Davis and Pancratz.
Does anybody else think that Pancratz might be pushed further and futher down the bench. He plays tough D, but man he has lost his shooting touch.
Finally does anybody know anything aboiut this Walk-On. Does he have the ability to be like Letts and contribute to the team or is he just a good practice player.

Amazing that I had the same conversation yesterday. I'm gonna go with Passley 3, Hill 1. I think Hill will either lose his job eventually or split it straight up with Hanson or wimmer. All this is pure speculation but when I'm right i want to be able to say I posted it here. ;D

Expecting, or even hoping, that any freshman can come in and start, is a bit unrealistic. Unless, of course, you're Pnthr30. My starting five: PG - Hill SG - McCants SF - Tucker PF - McCoy/Sanders (if you can call either one of them power forwards) C - Tigert, who will need to step up offensively But, this being said, and like other postings have said, our bench will be great next year. Ten or eleven deep is a good estimation, with guys like Hanson, Passley, Sanders/McCoy, Wimmer, Pancratz, Ford and even Finley getting minutes. That's a coach's dream.

Ok we have a lot to chose from, more than many other past years.
PG- Hill/Wimmer SG-(Lock) McCants SF-Passley PF-Tucker C-Ford/Tigert
I really have no idea what the starting five will be it's a tough call to make. Whatever it will be it is going to dominate the Horizon!

Hey, guys:
I'm new to the board but I wanted to let you know that I've heard that Passley is a lock to start as a freshman. We saw him in Indianapolis and he was very mature for his age and a tremendous rebounder for his size.

Obviously, this is far from and exact science and players may emerge or fade during pre-season practices, but ...
PG -- Hill SG -- McCants SF -- Passley PF -- Tucker or Tigert C -- Tigert or Ford

I keep hearing that Passley is the real deal too. My feeling is that he may or may not get the nod early in the season....maybe give him some PT w/out the starter role and keep the pressure off him. See what he can do as one of the first off the bench and if he earns that starter role then bring it on!
Welcome aboard, Dylanrocks!

Excellent point, uwmfan. That's typically an outstanding approach with younger players.
