I got an invite to the Basketball banquet this friday night, and in the letter from Bruce there is reference to a "major" contribution of some kind being made to the program.
Anyone have any insight as to what it might be?
Don't know if it might be a financial deal/contribution, media relationship, etc....whatever it is must be a big deal for mention in this letter! Can't wait to find out.

So here's the deal on the what was announced last night at the banquet...
An endowed scholarship, the first of it's kind in UWM history, has been established as part of the university's capital campaign and tied to men's hoops. The endowment will fund one full scholarship for a men's basketball player. This is a pretty big deal that should have a lasting effect on UWM hoops in the long haul.
For 2004 'los was honored, and for 2005 Tigert will be representing this award, named after the Nicholas (sp?) family.
They showed some great highlights on tape of the previous season, including a bunch of high flying dunks by Ed. Outstanding!!
Bruce did a real nice job recognizing not just the star players we always see in the news, but also the guys on the bench and the important role they play.
Can't wait for next year!!!
