who do u all want UWM to play in the N-C slate....my ten with a few that we have to play as far as contracts are concerned...
1. Wisconsin 2. Manhattan 3. @ Illinois...I want to see Bruce go there and coach a good game and maybe earn some respect from the Illini faithful, but they pretty much have alot of hatred for Bruce. 4. Northwestern 5. Texas Tech 6. Central Florida 7. Washington State 8. Valpo 9. St. Johns 10. Northern Illinois 11. Marquette....I would have put them in my list of ten but then I would have just been wasting a suggestion...

I know that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I was wondering if you might explain some of the choices you made........some are a bit curious Again, I am not ragging on you, just curious. 3. @ Illinois... I can see why it might be interesting, but I see this game happening......................NEVER haha 4. Northwestern........why? 5. Texas Tech.......I am assuming you like Bobby Knight? 6. Central Florida.......why? 7. Washington State..........why? Do you want to see Henry Dunk on us? 9. St. Johns.........interesting thought.........they don't get a lot of pub here in the midwest 10. Northern Illinois..........WHY?

My top ten possible games, in no particular order:
Southern Illinois, Marquette, Gonzaga, Valpo, Creighton, Air Force, Western Michigan, Murray State, Kent State, Wichita State.
If we want to be in the elite Midwest Mid Major programs, we have to consistently play the best. I would love to see these teams at U.S. Cellular Arena over any Big 10 school. Of course I also just tossed Marquette in for the hell of it. Gonzaga, even though they are a Mid Major school that is not in the Midwest, we need to play them, as they are exactly where we want to be some day.
Later, UWMfreak

why, heres why
1. Wisconsin-pretty self explanitory 2. Manhattan-play back game 3. @ Illinois...I want to see Bruce go there and coach a good game and maybe earn some respect from the Illini faithful, but they pretty much have alot of hatred for Bruce. 4. Northwestern-Big Ten team we could beat and close proximity 5. Texas Tech-Get a chance to play againt Bobby Knight 6. Central Florida-Pretty good team I believe...plus it is warm there and it would be an easy trip to go see with cheap air fare if it was played there 7. Washington State-Dick Bennett 8. Valpo-Just cause 9. St. Johns-Give our kids a shot to play in the Garden 10. Northern Illinois-Pretty good mid-major school and pretty close to home 11. Marquette....I would have put them in my list of ten but then I would have just been wasting a suggestion...

NIU is also a good game because Mark's little bro Zach is going there next year along with another ex-teammate Craig Reichel a bit of a family reunion...

Welcome to the board spgrl. First things first, we have the following non-conference games set up for next year: 1. Wisconsin 2. Manhattan 3. Air Force 4. Prairie View The other 6 games I would like to see 1. Duke - do I even have to state a reason and they have played a HL team the past 2 years. 2. Iowa - Pearl could go back to where he was an assistant. 3 & 4. A big name tourny. 5. Drake - So BP can play against Dr. Tom Davis 6. Va Tech - BP friends with Seth Greenberg

Any list of the most desirable non-conference games would have to include traditional powerhouses like Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina, Kansas and UCLA. The rationale being that even when they're in a down year, a victory over such a marquee program is bound to turn a good number of heads nationally. So long as you keep the score within single digits, you really can't lose when playing one of the Big 5. That's why getting Kansas is so terrific for this program.
