I am not a UWM fan but I cheer for them with the opp. to play MU at the Bradley Center on Tuesday. It really hurts me when Kody Karl from Homestead High of Mequon, WI having ice water in his veins and sinking 2 free throws to ice the win for them. How come nobody talked about that. There are now 2 Karls that burned Milwaukee in the past year. Anyways UWM good year but I dont see u doing much next year unless you can find another big body to bang down low. Also the coaching Pearl did at the end of the game was terrible. He should of told his players to foul ASAP due to Boise being a good free throw shooting team that way they had more time and opp to potentially tie and even win the game. Good season UWM but cherish this season because without Page you are not the top team in the Horizon anymore. Peace

you know its funny you say that without page we are not going to have a chance, because thats the same thing we heard last year when Clay, Ronnie and the other 4 seniors graduated, but looks like that really bothered us this year didn't it? ? didn't think so and yes it will be hard to replace teh leadership that Page, Nate and Kadima gave to this team i think that we are well on our way to heading back up to the top of the Horiazon league. Maybe you didn't hear we get McCants coming back, tucker, tigert, and have probably the best recurit to come to UWM in Paisley. So before you go and tell us that we aren't going any where next year maybe you might want to think twice about betting against us. GO PANTHERS!!!

Has anyone actually seen Jason McCoy play? I know his numbers at Rutgers weren't so hot - 2 ppg and 1 board per game. Just wondering what we can expect from him next year.

Jonesified, so if we are not the top tem in the HL, who is? As for getting a big body to bang low, I don't know what you consider big but D. Ford is coming here next year and he is 6'10 and goes about 240. Other new Panthers who will play next year, Passley as dutch talked about above and Wimmer, who is a better shotter than McCants because he can shoot off the dribble. As for seeing McCoy, talk to TJ Ford ;D, he played with McCoy on the same AAU team. I just saw him playing in summer open gyms (sometimes with Ford at the Klotsche) and he looked OK. My guess is that he will have the role what Sanders played this year, maybe even get a few more minutes (10-15). The one good thing is that the team will be more athletic then this years team and will be able to press like we did with the 02-03 team.

In no way am I siding with Jonesified but as far as the top team in the HL next year you have to go with UIC. It sounds like Bailey, Banks, and Williams will all return next season as they are on pace to graduate and get back their last year of eligibility.

I can still see there being some academic issues come next fall. UIC seemed to let there players grades slip away without noticing til the last moment this past year. I guess we're lucky that a player like Ed was student class prez, etc.

Yeah ok UWM could be good but who is going to replace Page... Tigert well he is soft. Who is going to play Power Forward Tucker? Come on guys quit fishing for answers. I got UIC, Wright St, and Det as the top teams. Det has the point guard coming in from Mich St, good luck Hill. So back off me man sorry for not kissing uwm's butt but that is what I believe, Pearl thinks he can do it again but he has to.

Actually UWM has two big men coming in next year a JUCO transfer and transfer from Rutgers and Detroit's Cotton isn't eligible until after the holidays.

And if I am not mistaken he will be playing right around the start of the conference season so your point is. Juco players are a gamble and if McCoy didnt play at Rutgers how good is he? I know McCants was a great pick up but not every juco player is great an example is Jackson on MU. Thanks for your time

Jonesfied - All you provide is opinion-based information, I was just providing the facts! No one knows how anything is going to play out until the games start being played in November.

I kinda agree with Jonesfield or whatever his name is....JUCO players are a hell of a gamble and we got a great one in McCants.....and with McCoy...he is very fragile looking...I could see him getting PT here, but we will have to see how he develops...and just a word of warning...dont expect too much from Boo Davis....
