James Douglas, a 6-3" combo guard from Schoolcraft (MI) CC is expected to sign a national letter of intent with the Missouri Tigers today. Douglas, who originally signed with Wisconsin-Milwaukee, was granted his release by new Panther head coach Rob Jeter after Bruce Pearl left UWM for Tennessee. Douglas transferred to Schoolcraft after playing as a freshman at Eastern Michigan, where he averaged 5.5 points per game.
Douglas was a Michigan all-state selection as a junior and senior at Detroit (MI) Harper Woods, where he averaged 26 points as a senior, and had several games where he scored over 40 points. He was the Metro Conference's player of the year. He sat out his freshman year, due to Prop 48.
