According to scout.com
Jermaine Bell, a 6-foot-11 forward/center from Indian Hills (IA) CC, has put his name into the 2005 NBA Draft, thus ending his college eligiblity. Bell has been a much-traveled player, playing two seasons of high school basketball at Ben Franklin High in Rochester, New York. He later attended IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. before enrolling at Notre Dame Prep. Bell put his name into the 2004 NBA Draft before pulling out to play for the JC power Warriors. Bell was named an NJCAA honorable mention All-American as he averaged 15.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.7 blocks for the Warriors in the 2004-05 season. He was a first team all-Region XI choice. Bell is one of only four freshmen named to the NJCAA All-American teams in Division I. There are a total of 49 players on the three teams and honorable mention list.

Jermaine Bell is officially NOT a Panther...nor will he be a member of any college team. Jermaine Bell officially entered his name as an early entrant into the 2005 NBA draft. We won't be seeing him around here or on any college basketball team. What a stupid mistake....Does this kid think he'll even get drafted?!

so it doesn't matter if one of the times you declare for the NBA draft you aren't in college yet that it still counts as your first time? i know they see it as relinquishing your amateur status but if you're not even in college yet i don't see why that should count.
