Saw that Bell visited. Cannot seem to remember a thread talking about him. Anyone got any information on the guy? Or anyone have any information on his visit and how many scholarships we have left?

If it is Jermaine Bell from Indian Hills, looks like a nice get if we can land him. I found this on a JUCO exboard...( I guess I answered my own thread)
"Jermaine Bell 6-11 190 (FR) PF Indian Hills CC, IA: This thin insider has excellent ball skills to create drive and ability to stop and pop jumper from arc to the hoop. This former St. John's commitment reminds me of Jonathan Bender in a lot of ways. He averaged 10 points a game this weekend, but look for some big numbers this winter for the Warriors. Majors will all come take a look at him this winter."

6-11, 190? Are you serious? This guy's gonna make Majak Kou look like Oliver Miller!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I've heard from others on this board that Bell was on campus on Monday and things went well.
This is our Coach Boudreau/Indian Hills connection.

on Rivals.com he's a 3 star rating, 98th overall player in '04 and 10th best center in '04. if anyone would keep his schooling in check and made him eat a lot more beef he could be something great

I have heard conflicting sources whether he was actually on campus. IF he signs with UWM that would easily be the top recruit in the conference this season, maybe even over the last few years.
Jermaine, without an agent, entered the NBA Draft out of high school. ;D
Basically this means we would continue to dominate the conference and more UWGB students would be wearing black and gold.

would an LOI have to be signed today, or received by the school today? Or would a verbal until next fall be more likely?

does anyone know which other schools are recruiting him? if he does sign w/ us and he's still iffy academically, i suggest we redshirt him so he can not only focus on his studies but put some meat on that boney body.

"Super Prospect." I dont think he needs to add any weight, he seems to be getting it done. Did I mention he already entered the NBA draft? He'll start immediately at center and dominate the H.L. Simple as that. I believe the chances of him attending UWM are slim to none. I hope I am wrong. Jermaine Bell Position: C Height / Weight: 6'11" , 205 Rankings: Hodge 100 , Super Prospect Status: Prospect Signing School: Honors: Home: Rochester, NY High/Prep School/J.C.: Pendleton-IMG, Fla/ND Prep, Mass/Indian Hills CC, Ia Region: East Other Sports: Comments: Entered 2004 NBA Draft, but withdrew his name. Has decommitted from St. John's three times. interact.fansonly.com/recruiting/

Actually, do we have any confirming evidence of Jeter recruiting Bell? All we have posted so far is rumors.

6-11, 190? Are you serious? This guy's gonna make Majak Kou look like Oliver Miller! I think Bell will look thiner than Maja. Maja is 6-5 at 165. Maybe Bell will make McCoy look bigger though. McCoy is 6-9 @ 190 so basically picture McCoy but taller. Maybe these players have gained weight from when the web site posted their size and height but im going to buy him a big mac myself if he comes to UWM.

I saw the NBA early entry list today. Jermaine Bell is on it. I highly doubt he will be attending any D1 college next year.
