Well, at least we have an entertaining (and animated) radio guy in Bill Johnson. He does a pretty good job IMO.

If you guys are interested, here is a brief overview of the BSU team:
Starters
F 45 Ellis, Jason 6-7, 211 (Jr) --Made All-WAC defensive team, guards the opposing big guy
F 15 Haynes, Aaron 6-7, 180 (Sr) --Made All-WAC first team, can do about everything
G 5 Karl, Coby 6-5, 195 (Fr) --Likes to shoot 3's, quickest release I've ever seen
G 1 Defares, Bryan 6-4, 221 (Sr) --Likes to penetrate, broke the record for assists/game (13) vs. UNLV
G 4 Skiffer, Joe 6-3, 207 (Sr) --Plays great defense and point, not a shooter
Bench F 21 Blackburn, Jermaine 6-7, 205 (Jr) --Starter and best player before shoulder injury took him out for 4 weeks, just now getting back into things, had a great game vs. UNLV
G/F 20 Nabors, Booker 6-4, 184 (Sr) --Hometown kid, leading 3-point shooter, plays good defense
G 3 Lane, Eric 6-1 172 (Fr) --True freshman, only other PG on the team besides Skiffer, can hit the three
G 35 Harris, Franco 5-11 181 (Jr) --Likes to shoot the 3, defense needs work
F 34 Bates, Josh 6-7 200 (So) --Comes in to give the big guys a break, said to be barely d1 talent but sure plays like it
F 33 Fried, Richard 6-9 190 (Jr) --Mop up time
C 11 Avgerinos, Kostas 7-0 215 (Sr) --Out for the year
G 13 Graham, Brian 6-4 185 --Redshirt
What does your team look like?

I doubt it will be on broncoIvision. Remember we are playing at a different venue that is probably not hooked up for that.

I don't know if anyone wants to hit up the BSU poll in how far they will go in the NIT, it is a very similar situation to the JSonline poll of the states big man of the year, ie you have to delete your cookies every time. www.broncosports.com/index2.aspAlso, my sister graduated from BSU her husband still goes there, and my choices for College were BSU vs. UWM. So i'm very familiar with the area, Nampa is only about 20 miles from Boise and is a real crap town. I would imagine BSU offering some sort o ftransportation to the game for the students. If anyone is seriously thinking about going my sister and her husband might be able to have some people stay there. I would but have already committed to Arizona and finding an apt at ASU for grad school.

Honest question: When was the last time you were in Nampa; it has gone through some big changes the past few years- grown into the 2nd largest city (mostly now used for a suburb). ...And I never thought I'd actually be defending Nampa... BTW- Tickets are going like crazy. A sellout (10,000+) could be in the works according to the news.

I was acutally in Nampa last fall. It had changed a lot since the first time i was there 4 years prior. I know what you mean by defending it, i'm just throw'n some bias around as you might have been able to tell. I'm really looking forward to the game and extremely excited to see a BSU fan on the board. ? did you find our site or did you get it from us? Either way it's awesome to see you on the board again. I love the smurf turf and replacing it this past season made it even better. take it easy and good luck

the game better be a sellout! It will easily if you guys are half as crazy about bball as you are football. I went elementary and junior high school with the Fanucci's (Louy and Alan) in CA.

Actually.. you can take the 7-footer off the list. He hurt his ACL and finished his season bout 2 months ago.
We're small.. 6'7, 6'7, 6'6 for height.. but we're fast, and surprisingly enough, we hold our own rebounding. (Good athletes)
Coby has really come into his own and is a tremendous asset to the team. He's almost as good off the court as on, (great recruiter), and at 6'5 has great hops. (As the picture shows). He has a very unorthodox shot, (almost a true set-shot), but it's about the fastest release you'll ever see, and he hits around 35% of his 3's. Maybe he needed the right system, and a RS year off to bulk up before he really hit his stride. (?)
The Idaho Center is a new twist, but we're taking our court over, so it will have that 'Boise State' feel.. and we're about to sell-out the 10k seats that the Center holds for BBall.. so it will definitely be similar to what the Pavilion games are like.
If we do indeed sell-out the game, then our local CBS affiliate 'could' show the game.. just depends on if they want to dump their regular shows. I think it's more likely that they'll do a 'tape-delayed' showing, but the Broncos are pretty hot in the Treasure Valley, so it's not out of the question to have it live. Won't know till it's an official sell-out.
Hope that answers/clarifies most of the questions.

Regarding the difference in price, my understanding is that the NIT sets a fixed rate per ticket that they collect. The school then adds whatever they need to cover the venue take and the schools take.
So my guess is either your venue wants a higher take or your school does, or both.
One thing that may hurt you is the low attendance. The venue may be asking for a much higher take per ticket to compensate for the low number of sales.
