Keeping good thing going fine with UWMPosted: March 17, 2004 Michael HuntSo UW-Milwaukee, with its utter deforestation of the Rice Owls on Wednesday night, moved a step closer to playing Marquette in the NIT. The general reaction from this perspective is, "So what?" The only real value in an eventual UWM-MU matchup is that the respective teams will have extended their seasons, a very good thing, indeed. If that happens, then, yeah, go ahead, be my guest, go nuts and enjoy the experience for what it is. But as for the so-called public demand that the cross-city schools must face each other in a secondary post-season tournament, a lot of that passion is misplaced.
