The Florida Atlantic men’s basketball team is adding good players frequently these days since Matt Doherty took over. Paul Graham out of Philadelphia was the first to commit and he was quickly joined by the gem of the class, Carlos Monroe.
Monroe, a 6-foot-7 power forward out of Cape Coral High in Florida, could easily have played a level higher.
“We are excited about Carlos joining the FAU family,” Doherty said. “He is a basketball player who bring a great deal to our program including size, strength and skill. He is a highly touted recruit that is coming into a program that is ready to take off.”
Joining Monroe is Frank Phillips College scorer DeAndre Rice. Rice averaged 22.1 points a game last season as he shot 41% from behind the arc.
