I hear that Cody was only being offered walk-on status, which would certainly help explain why he would choose the Division 2 school close to home.

if true, u gotta wonder what bidlingmyer/jeter are thinking. they went after a player at a position they felt was a need, with a scholarship available but yet don't offer him one. unless they have someone else on their radar that they're waiting for as well i don't get it.

does a player have to sit out a year to transfer from a D2 school to a D1 school? Yes. Steve Hoelzel sat out this year after transferring from Michigan Tech.

Maybe this guy isn't as good as you all think he is??? He is from a tiny high school, and I know, I know, Dylan Page, but still, Jeter probably doesn't want to take a risk his first year.
