If so they'll have to pull an Enron and erase any papertrail to prove them wrong.

In a recorded interview in the middle of last month, (before he visited UWM) here's what he had to say in deciding factors for choosing a school: - fit the program - be able to contribute and be a force (doesn't have to be right away) - how long coach plans to remain at school - his chemisty w/ players - success of program (i'm assuming that's what he means when he said "how well the school is too") these are in the order he stated them but didn't specify as to if this is his priority list or not. based on this i'd have to think UWM has a good chance and especially since UWM is WAY better than Tulsa. However Tulsa's coach really likes him and will probably do everything in his powers to win him and his parents over. time will tell.

May 8, 2005 Stoneburner to make decision soon -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bill Lowery TheHurricaneAlert.com
Cody Stoneburner, the 6-foot-10 and 220-pound center from North Shelby High School in Shelbyville, Missouri, returned home this evening from his last official visit to the University of Tulsa. Our staff spoke briefly with his father, Okey, who explained that Stoneburner had a very good time on the Golden Hurricane campus and should make a decision within the next two days.
Cody Stoneburner "Cody had a great visit to Tulsa," said Okey Stoneburner. "He liked everything about the visit, especially the academic aspect. He was able to speak with some people in the admissions office and enjoyed that."
"He hasn't made a decision yet. He's supposed to have a press conference either tomorrow (Monday) or possibly Tuesday at the school. The decision is going to be all Cody's."
Stoneburner, who was named the Missouri small-school player of the year, averaged 26.9 points, 11.4 rebounds and 9.3 blocks his senior season, as he led his 31-1 team to the Class A state title.
Although Stoneburner holds many offers from Division I schools, including Nebraska, West Virginia and Wisconsin-Milwaukee, he told our staff recently that the decision would most likely come down to Tulsa and local Division II Quincy (IL).
Did Stoneburner's trip to Tulsa help him with his decision?
"All I can say is that he had a good visit to Tulsa, but Cody has to decide if he wants to stay close to home or not," concluded Mr. Stoneburner. "If he does, then I think he will choose Quincy. If not, then it should be Tulsa. No one is going to know until he announces it at the press conference."

I don't think he is going to sign with us, and I really don't want him to. It sounds as if the education he can recieve from a school is more important than the success he has on the basketball court. I don't want that. Also, any guy that would consider going to a D2 school over a school the made it to the Sweet 16, or the Elite 8 (West Virgina) does not have the heart and desire to play. Just my thoughts.

I think asking for a student to prioritize basketball success ahead of academic success is ludicrous.

the report of him having his "final list" was published b4 he visited UWM. the second half of the article is just regurgitating what was said mid to late last month.

Hello All,
My source has not heard anything on Stoneburner. Tyrone Young is still in the mix. Hopefully we will hear an announcement soon.

Tulsa announced two more recruits today, both forwards. Hopefully their frontcourt will start to look a bit crowded to Stoneburner. According to his dad's comments in these articles, we should know tomorrow.

so for Rivals.com, when the "Offer" box is checked does that indicate they were offered a scholarship? if so, Tulsa seemingly had 2 scholarships coming into the offseason, then will gain 2 more b/c 2 guys will leave due to academics & their scholarships won't be renewed so that makes it 4. Of the 5 of the 6 recruits rivals.com recognizes all have "offers" so does that mean they used 5 scholarships to get these guys? i'm confused. if that's the case they should be out and Stoneburner doesn't have one.

Dunzz...great changes with the board!
The Tulsa board reported that Cody is heading to a D2 school in his home state. Too bad, would have been a great fit at UWM.

i hope he only went there b/c its close to home, even though we're under 7 hours away which isn't too bad. but hey, its not my talent in bball that'll go to waste (in part b/c i have no talent).
