Yah but if BJ wasn’t on the team Pratt or EJ would average 28 a game and lead the nation in scoring huh? I swear some of you see critques of BJ and must think you have to take up for him. Its clear he brings it in spurts. If he wants to be a pro he needs to bring it on both ends all the time. He did tonight and we saw the results of that. Focused with the ball, not loose with the rock no turnovers and not bailing the defense out with bad shots. He doesnt need to be a lockdown defender but with his size he can be a good positional defender in this league. FYI when BJ was out Pratt was scoring at a high rate. BJ is our best player PERIOD. In this day of transfers perhaps it's not a great idea for fans to attack their best players. Just saying.

Ive said this before but here goes again. We need to change the attitude from "No one cares so why bother?" to "Everyone who is anyone is going so I will too." In order to do that, we need to use the most popular person approach. Identify students (especially dormies) who other students listen to. The people who influence others. Sit down with them in a group session. Explain to them how building the program helps them (identity with the school leads to networking after you graduate, which can lead to jobs, it's more fun etc. etc. etc.) Convince them to lead the charge and others will follow. I've seen this approach work wonders in several other situations. There's no need to believe it won't work here.

Will there be a bus to the Green Bay game?

Im aware, I think I have been one of the most vocal voices about knowing that the MECCA is the place for us to grow as a program. Pretty easy to sell that don't you want to play where Stone Cold Steve Austin cut his famous Austin 3:16 promo? "You can talk about your psalms, you can talk about John 3:16, well Lundy 3:16 says I just whipped your ass" As someone who actually spent tons of time in in Madison lobbying for the building of a sports facility on campus (the name was also my idea but who's bragging) I can say with a certainty that is not true. While the primary purpose was Intermural leagues, Intercollegiate sports were also considered. We didn't draw enough to justify renting the Arena and the teams needed a place to play. Keep in mind that old Baker Fieldhouse sat maybe 1000 (with everyone standing shoulder to shoulder around the ends of the court). The Klotsche Center was a significant improvement over a building that had a dirt track around the court, (a court that was warped from getting rained on) and that had the distinction of being the only indoor College Basketball venue in the country to have a game rained out.

I want the streetcar "M" Line to continue to campus so I can hop off at the corner of Hartford and Maryland and walk into a gorgeous brand new 3500 seat arena. I'm still up for committing fraud so one of us can "win" the lottery. Someone call David Stern and figure out how they got the ping pong balls to come up roses! I think that 4,500-5,000 is the sweet spot. In my opinion, you take our top historical attendance era (2003-06) and build it right in that range, allowing some room for the fan base to grow back while still making games a relatively tough ticket. The Horizon league (and just about every other league requires a minimum of 5,000 seats.

I disagree. Most experts say agood manager can get you an extra 8 to 10 wins a season. It's not just about pitching changes, it's also about club house atmodphere, using the right players in the right situation. I remember an ESPN baseball analyst who said he couldn't explain the Brewers being in 1st "other than Craig Counsel being the reincarnation of Harry Houdini."

BJ made some pretty amazing shots tonight. We don't win without him.

“I woulda died for this 💩 and you just had to let me.” Markeith via IG story Forgive my ignorance, but what does that even mean? .8It means Lundy just had to pet Markieth do whatever he wanted regardless 8f whether 8r not it was the gest thing for the team.

May I suggest that rather than then try to figure out who was or wasn't mad, why someone wore their pants or why we won, ee just enjoy a great win People can have their opinions, but in our first game after Browning we beat a team that was taller, leads the nation in 3:s and would've killed us 10 days ago. All the hand wringing, side comments and such can't alter that undeniable fact. So lets enjoy the win, our best game of the season and have a Merry Christmas

Getting back to the original topic, this afternoon our first game without Browning was our best game of the year.

Im not ready to condemn Lundy over this. I doubt he would make a move like this without a good reason. It's hard to get a team to play together to listen to the coaches and to give maximum effort when some of its members are not. I remember Jeter booting two highly touted recruits bc they were hurting team morale. Flowers and Sampson were late to practice (if they showed at all ) demanded to made starters etc. The Panthers went on a hot streak after they were dismissed. Players who weren't trying suddenly became valued team mates as they realized their effort was recognized and the two malcontents lack of effort was punished. I dont know if that sort of thing is what happened here but it appears some people think it did.

Lundy has a proven track record of success. I'm not willing to give up on him. I will however say this. I hope our players study hard and get their degrees, because I didn't see anyone who would make it to a pro team, even a minor league pro team in a small country. It depends on who really wants to play. I don't think Ricky Franklin played any form of pro ball after he left, but Tiby & Austin Arians both played for a while in Europe. There are quite a lot of different levels of pro leagues in Spain, Italy, France, Greece. I was referring to the players I saw on the floor last night, not players from the past or those who are out with injury.

This was my first game of the season. When the schedule came out, I was disappointed that I am going to miss some games due to a cruise I'm taking. After seeing tonight's debacle, that disappointment is replaced by relief that I won't feel obligated to go those games because I'm in town and bought season tickets.
I'm not an expert but my takes
1) Good luck getting people back to the seats after you lose to a team no one ever heard of before especially when the next home game is three days before Christmas.
2) Some people showed effort but others did not. If the team is going to turn things around everyone putting on that uniform has to care enough to defend every drive (not step aside and let the guy score), to rush to the basket for rebounds, not stand there and hope someone gets it, help out team mates who are doubled up instead of watching the ball get stripped away and to improve shot selection.
3) I did see a lot of passing the ball. That part was good in as much as it indicates some measure of unselfish play but I also saw guys driving into the teeth of Longwood's defense and trying to put up a shot that was clearly going to be blocked.
4) It didn't seem like we had a coordinated defense.
5) Playing frantically at the end just so you don't lose by 20 is not going to cut it.
