I'm not a big fan of Bush, but it's not just his fault; the fact that the majority of the U.S legislative branch found this to be important is sickening.

Relax...let's just see what happens IF they ever actually enforce this legislation. It's a First Ammendment mine field and would likely get tossed.
Just another example of politicians (both sides of the aisle, by the way) passing something just to hear themselves speak.
"Hidden in must pass legislation" my left nut. They all knew it was there and they all know it will never hold up, either.

Don't blame all of them. Under the Senate rules it doesn't take much to put something in a bill when no one is looking (or they are away at committee hearings, lunch or whatever) and once it's in a bill that has to pass (like the Justice Department funding in this case), it's hard to get it out.
Blame the Republicans who for the umpteenth time have shown they don't think the Constitution applies to the net.
