Not even sure he plays for the Wright State game on 12/31. Guys are gonna have to step up and fill some big shoes. I mean thats not that long of an absence, try to get right for feb and march. Your initial post made it sound like someone ripped an ACL or got stabbed. This is exactly why none of us should tease news in this manner and frankly why the program should be more forthright. Partial "news" or no news leads to speculation, conjecture & hearsay.

As good as BJ is, and as much as it sucks for him, I think this could actually have a positive impact for the Panthers as long as BJ fully recovers. I get the feeling the team as a whole has been using BJ as a crutch to begin the year, and we’ve seen the results. Now we need everybody to step up. Learic did that a bit against USM, so hopefully he keeps that up.
The team has a conscious choice to make. They can either lie down and let everyone step over them while they wallow in their misfortune… or they can step it up, play with the kind of energy we saw for a few minutes in the second half against USM.
Given how the team has dealt with adversity this year, maybe I shouldn’t have some kind of faith (or at least hope) that they will choose the latter option, but I hope they figure something out in their time without BJ.

The choice is clear: resolve or self-pity.

Not too surprised. He didn't look healthy at all the 2nd half of the South Miss game. Not even sure he plays for the Wright State game on 12/31. Apparently, you are already in Green Bay and staying at a Holiday Inn Express.

1983 NC State. The team got much better after they lost their top scorer, Wittenburg.

We've struggled to outscore our opponents because of our stellar defense with 10. To lose him for an entire month will certainly be a huge loss - especially if the cold shooting persists.
The good news is, no matter if we go undefeated in conference or go .500 or worse, the only ticket to the dance is to win the tournament. Get him healthy with enough time for the team to develop a groove going into the tournament, and hopefully we'll be in a position to outplay our seeding.
Bummer for BJ, but you could see he was totally gutting it out in the second half against Southern Miss.

I'm not making it up north today. I took a spill on the bike yesterday on my way to work (knew I should have driven) because no one cleared the bike/pedestrian path of ice by the Whitnall Beer Garden and the rain made it translucent. Nothing broken but I'm in a bunch of pain so I'm gonna take it easy today.
I do feel like the team often just stands around when BJ gets the ball. Hopefully his absence will spur some of these guys to start picking themselves up to fill the void.

It has been noticeably quieter without you at games recently. Get well soon sir. Big game for Erik Pratt tonight. I’m thinking this is the game he breaks out. Wouldn’t be shocked if Markeith was the guy who stepped up tonight either.

I guess Vegas doesn’t have the inside information since the line now moved to Milwaukee -2.5.

Seems to be a bunch of money pouring in on the Panthers! Is this a snow job?!

Yeah, this line still makes no sense to me. Even if Freeman was 100%, I’d probably bet on Green Bay if I was in Las Vegas and had no soul.
