I thought someone said that B.J. was done? You could be an information minister for the program! Where did I say he was done? I said he'd be out for awhile, which is open to various interpretations

Probably too late to win, but there’s been a lot more energy over the last 10 minutes of this game.

Probably too late to win, but there’s been a lot more energy over the last 10 minutes of this game. Not too late at all. That confidence So Miss had seems to be wavering. Keep pressing. Keep rebounding. We can win.

Loving this defensive intensity. Would like to see it for an entire game. 6 pt game and Fields at the FT line. Let’s go!

Lost a totally winnable game.
Can't wait until 4 minutes to turn up

Still on my over/under on win totals being 10-12. Team needs to play a whole game to convince me otherwise.

The last 15 minutes of this game have probably been the best 15 minutes they’ve played this year. They’re still going to come up short (can’t dig those 20+ point deficits), but for the first time since probably the CBI last year, the Panthers are showing a little fire.
They’re capable of it. If they play like crap, it’s on them.

If you can't stop anyone from scoring, it's going to be an eternally long season. We've allowed 90 points per game to the semi-respectable to respectable teams on our schedule.

Glad they fought back, the effort and energy really turned around when Learic Davis came into the game. However, you can't expect to be successful when you wait 30 minutes into the game to actually turn it on. Hoping this team hasn't already killed any momentum they built last year with the casual Panther fans and the city. I don't mean to be a downer, but this has been an absolutely pathetic start to the season. They have the talent to turn it around, hopefully they do.

If we play this fast we have to shoot better.
~38%FG, 29%3PT is way, wayyyyy too low.

It's the typical MO for this program: Give the team high expectations, they fall flat on their face. EVERY TIME.

Good 2nd half. I’m encouraged by what I saw from Learic and EJ. Let’s build on this. We didn’t get the win. Had we avoided that 19-2 run and rebounded / defended better in the first half, we probably win. Kudos to them for hitting free throws.

The last 10-15 minutes of the game showed what they are capable of. The rest of the season is an indication that to some extent, they have chosen not to play to their capability.

I look at teams like Queens and Colgate and St. Thomas (get ready to rumble!) doing better than us, almost 20 years removed from a Sweet 16 and wonder where all the time went. (To say nothing of Butler and Loyola...) Will we ever be a perennial (anything)?

Filling the team with smaller, faster shooters can work in D3, but you need bigger players and overall actual players (not just "athletes") in D1. You aren't going to last in D1 by living and dying by the 3.
