brewers trying to finish with 92 wins, which would tie the 1992 Crew for 7th most in a regular season in Brewers history, the Crew have only won 90+ games 10 times.

I think you have to go with Woody. Burnes is great, but Woody is pitching better than almost anyone in baseball right now. Woody, Burnes, and Peralta is the best #3 starter in baseball right now. If the opening series goes to 3 games, I love our chances. Honestly , if we sign one brewers Ace to a long term deal, I go with Woodruff. Again, I love Burnes, but Woodruff is like a fine wine. Just keeps getting better with age. To follow up on this; considering how AZ has to schedule their starters , I love Burnes going in game 1 vs some rookie who went 3-9 with a 5+ era. Tomorrows game is a must win considering that. I like woodruff going in game two vs one of AZs aces. Let’s hope we can sweep in 2, but if not, fastball Freddy is great insurance. In a perfect world , it would be ideal to have Peralta go up against Kershaw or whoever in game 1 vs LA. I like our chances.

As a life long Brewer fan (both the life of the Brewers and me) who watches almost every pitch each season, I am already nervous about this series. In baseball especially, the shorter the series, the easier it is for the underdog to succeed.
The D-backs Game 1 starter, Brandon Pfaadt, is a rookie pitcher who went 5+ scoreless innings in two of his last three starts. How many times have we seen the Brewers' offense struggle against a good young pitcher that they have never seen? Let's hope Pfaadt's recent success does not carry over into Game 1.
The Brewers' Game 2 starter, Brandon Woodruff, was uncharacteristically ineffective in his last outing. His velocity was down. Hopefully nothing is wrong and the ten day rest between starts will help restore his effectiveness.
By the way, Game 1 is not a "must win." I hate the over-use of that term😏. Only elimination games are must wins.
I just checked Seat Geek. There are tickets available starting under $30, including fees. Hundreds of tickets are available for in the $30's. This is the playoffs folks! C'mon Milwaukee and Wisconsin, let's fill Am Fam Field and be loud!

Freddy Peralta was also ineffective his last start. He was also scratched from his last scheduled start. Notably, Burnes pitched on schedule. They said at the time of his last outing that Peralta was not feeling well. They were not specific. This news about Woodruff makes me wonder if Peralta is dealing with something more than what we were led to believe.

He's out for the WC series, maybe for the whole postseason. OMG, my nervousness was justified. Gutted by the news of Woody. Let’s keep winning, and hope for the best. We need him to win the World Series IMO. Guy is a gamer. Perhaps he can make it back in 2-3 weeks if we can stay alive that long. Tomorrow may need be a must win, but especially considering the news about Woody, it’s a need to win.
