Let's talk about needs for next year. As I see it, the No. 1 priority is a point guard. After that, we need some quality bigs. We have a month to get this done.

There we go. Not a single mention of Texas Tech. Apparently we were ultimately his only D1 offer. It would have been nice to know why recruitment was so "stressful" for him. There may be very little relationship, but reading the article made me think of Ryan Thornton.

In fact, I was remembering a text exchange with this board's founder!!!

Howell seems to move a lot better than Thornton did. Thornton had zero athleticism.
I like that Lundy wants him to make 100 3s. Sounds like they will be shooting a lot of them which is a good thing.

Sorry but I'm not buying that Tx Tech offer unless it was done as a favor or as a way for Charlie Adams to try recruiting him again in a few years. There's no way he's choosing Milwaukee over Tx Tech if it's an honest offer. Regardless, I'm looking forward to seeing what he can bring to the team! FWIW Rivals said he got on offer on June 24th for TT and visited June 26th. texastech.rivals.com/news/recapping-new-offers-made-by-mark-adams-and-texas-tech-basketball . He must have not been vibing with TT. It looks like a strong run to his senior year peaked the interest of others too. Excited to have him. Seems like a player.

It would have been nice to know why recruitment was so "stressful" for him. It seems like his recruiting clearly wasn’t going as he had hoped despite the effort and the results on the court. His “dream” of playing D1 hoops seemed to be getting close to fading.

I meant the offer from TT had to have had stipulations attached as his offers at the time were them and SIUE. It seems weird no one else offered him considering how many MM/LM schools are in states bordering MO. Hopefully this gives him a chip on his shoulder. Looking forward to seeing him either way!

I know many here are down on Sinani, but I’m still optimistic that he’s going to develop into a consistent shooter for us. The guy was a walking bucket in high school. If that’s the case, these two together combined with Melo and some of the other newcomers, and we should see a significant improvement in our outside shooting. My expectations for this team year 1 aren’t high… but having a coach who knows how to set a lineup and run an offense has my hopeful that we’ll at least see an immediate improvement from the last 5 years.

Noticed that Dylan Annett is listed at 6’10” as first team coaches 2A division in Illinois Coaches poll. He is a big who moves well and blocks shots. I think the two Baldwin recruits may surprise some. I am sure Lundy has talked to Baldwin Sr. and got a feel for them. Lots of film to watch. Feeling good about the roster. Do need an experienced point and a rebounder. If we finish in top half of this league we will be on good shape. The players will come and fans as well.

It's been a long time since I've seen Milwaukee Panthers basketball on a front page of the newspaper.
