Sounds like we're going to do a conference challenge this year!
Just a guess, but is it the SWAC?

I wouldn't mind seeing a MAC challenge. They're pretty much right on our level and in our footprint. Otherwise, I'd love to get the MVC.

Three things:
1) Panthers will play, as rumored, in the Cable Car Classic
2) Panthers will play at Notre Dame in mid-November
3) Panthers will play at Minnesota just before Christmas
We have two home slots yet to fill; one will be a D2, they are still hoping to find a D1 opponent for the other.

Greetings from Great Wolf Lodge.
Great job with the schedule, coaches!

The optimistic side of me thinks that both the Minnesota and ND games will be decent. Both teams lost big impact players from last year and are fairly young. Also just about half of Minnesota's players are new to the program. Definitely gonna have to head up to the Twin Cities to cheer on the Panthers at The Barn.

Road travel to either one of these games figures to be significantly easier than a drive to Detroit in late February or early March.

It looks like the Cable Car Classic is a three team round robin field of 2 games.

Home vs. non-D1 vs. non-D1 or D1 vs. SIUE vs. South Dakota
Road vs. Wisconsin vs. Minnesota vs. Notre Dame
Neutral at Gulf Coast Showcase (three games) at Cable Car Classic (three games)

I'm not sure that the Montana game is confirmed for this year. I heard some time ago that it might be postponed.

No Montana on the schedule this year.
I thought the Cable Car could be 3 games?

I believe that one non-Division 1 home game is part of the Gulf Coast Showdown.
What the coaches have been doggedly trying to avoid is three or more non-D1 home games.

Does the league release the conference schedule before teams unveil theirs individually? Can't remember.
