Outside of the home games, this is a great schedule.

I heard a few weeks ago that the H League was targeting the first week in September to release the conference schedule. Hoping that is still the timetable.
One reason I like being in the H League (despite the insane -- or maybe a better word is criminal -- change in the tournament) is its geographic compactness and integrity. In this era, if you are a mid-major fan, you had better hope you can easily travel to a few road games if you want to see more quality opponents. We are in an environment where it is literally almost impossible to find D1 programs willing to play us here. Thus, SIUE and SoDak become our best home opponents.
It's so ironic: Marquette could easily bring in the kind of opponents we would love to play, but chooses instead to play horrible teams because it's afraid of losing to mid-majors. We can't get those teams we would like to play (and that Marquette chooses to avoid) because those teams fear losing to us. The result? Fans of both schools are treated to terrible non-con home games.

Who cares about whom Marquette decides to schedule? I have no interest in playing them, nor do I care who they decide to play.

People on the east side of town have been saying MU is "very beatable" each season for the last 70 or so years, yet out of the nearly 40 times the teams have played UWM has been unable to "stick it" to the cross town "rival."

They say because it's a holiday. The crowd can be filled with dozens of bankers and mail carriers then. I get 13 paid holiday days per year off. One of them is NOT Presidents Day.
