New Berlin Eisenhower senior guard Stephanie Schell has given an oral commitment to join the UW-Milwaukee women's basketball team, her father, Joe Schell, announced today. Schell, who has started every game for the Lions, attended several camps conducted by Panthers coach Sandy Botham, which contributed to a comfort level with the program. "She just loves the way Coach Botham works with her team," Joe Schell said. "She was hooked on Coach Botham all the way." In picking UWM, Schell turned away overtures from Army, Valparaiso and several Division II schools. Once it was announced this summer that Valparaiso would be joining the Horizon League in 2007, Stephanie eliminated the Crusaders because, Joe Schell said, "she said she could never play against Coach Botham." The 5-foot-10 Schell is already Eisenhower's all-time assists leader and is among the top 10 all-time scorers as well, Joe Schell added. www.jsonline.com/watch/?watch=2&date=9/11/2006&id=11191

That's good news. It's worth noting her that once again Sandy Botham is shown as the quality coach that she is. I really believe we're just as lucky to have her here as we are to have RJ coaching the men.

I've seen her play. . .she may be the all-time assists leader but she can flat out shoot and with range. This is a nice addition.
