They SHOULD be able to build it small in order to save on costs. Maybe like 1,500.

Very cool. By chance is the guy on the far left in the photo Mike Veeck, son of the late great Bill Veeck and current owner of St Paul Saints in the American Association that this new team will be joining. If Mike Zimmerman taps him for some ideas there are going to a lot of fun promotions there. As regards UWM..know it is far from campus but this is great. I know I will be going to some games where no way I would go to the Hank in the past and certainly not now with the carjacking epidemic in Milwaukee ..

The barn design is stupid but I’m glad the team has a new home.

But will Fred Sanford be able to make it out to the games?

This will also relieve some of the congestion at the KC as well with a practice facility being built too.

The outfield is a bad hop’s paradise, and it floods in the spring because the drain tiles are broken. Wow, didn't know the playing surface was that bad.

This stadium will be approximately 19 miles from campus. 19 miles. I'm not going to check every D1 baseball program, but I would be truly shocked to find another that plays its home games as much as 5 miles from its campus. All the other Horizon programs have on-campus facilities.
Northern college baseball is a tough proposition in the best of circumstances. I'm sure the facility will be vastly better than Aaron field, but any hope that anyone other than close friends and family would attend these games so far removed from the University would be completely unwarranted.

So, what! College baseball doesn't draw in urban cities anyways. It's Zimmerman building it, not UWM.

Fan attendance (or the lack of it) aside, just going to practice there will cost the players an extra hour and a half a day in lost commuting time. Mark it down as just another sad failure of the Braun administration.

sad to see it so far away, would be nice if it were closer to current students.
